Suite à la première édition des épreuves classantes nationales informatisées (ECNi) en juin 2016, 29 % des étudiants inscrits à la conférence Hippofac évoquaient un manquement quant à une conférence de sémiologie. L'objectif principal de notre étude était de préparer, implanter et évaluer une conférence de sémiologie pour les étudiants de MED-6 inscrits à la conférence Hippofac 2016-2017. Matériel et méthode : nous avons effectué le 28 février 2017 une conférence de sémiologie, sous forme de questions isolées avec rédaction de 62 questions à choix multiples (QCM), présentée aux MED-6 inscrits à la conférence Hippofac. Un questionnaire a permis d'évaluer la conférence, cinq thèmes y étaient appréciés : les caractéristiques de la population, les motivations à assister à cette conférence, les questions de satisfaction évaluée avec une échelle de Likert à 4 niveaux, les trois messages-clés retenus ainsi que les modifications à apporter à cette conférence. Résultats : nous avons analysé 97 questionnaires. La conférence de sémiologie a été globalement appréciée par les étudiants. Leurs principales motivations concernaient l'intérêt pour la sémiologie, la réussite aux ECNi, ainsi que le manque d'enseignements en sémiologie dans leur cursus universitaire. Les participants ont majoritairement exprimé le souhait d'organiser différemment cette conférence ; en répondant aux QI de manière préalable à la conférence, et en organiser la conférence en petits groupes, de manière interactive, avec des rappels de cours et de physiopathologie. Conclusion : l'instauration d'une conférence de sémiologie est reçue positivement par les étudiants en préparation des ECNi, mais celle-ci doit être reformatée pour répondre aux attentes et besoins des étudiants, avant d'être étendue à l'ensemble de la promotion MED-6.

Les Questions à Choix Multiples ont remplacé les questions rédactionnelles. Suite à ce changement, 29 % des étudiants de la conférence Hippofac MED-6 de l'année 2015-216 souhaitaient l'instauration d'une conférence de sémiologie. L'objectif de cette étude était d'évaluer l'impact d'une conférence de sémiologie chez des étudiants en MED- 6 en préparation pour les ECNi et de définir leurs lacunes principales dans cette matière. Matériel et méthode : nous avons mené une étude prospective avant/après permettant d'évaluer les compétences d'étudiants en MED-6 du groupe Hippofac en sémiologie. Le recrutement s'est fait sur la base du volontariat et a permis de former deux groupes. L'évaluation a été réalisée grâce à deux formulaires de 15 QCMs. Deux semaines avant la conférence, le premier groupe d'étudiant était évalué sur le premier formulaire et le second groupe sur le deuxième. Deux semaines après la conférence une seconde évaluation a eu lieu avec inversement des formulaires entre les deux groupes. Pendant la conférence qui s'est tenue le 28 février 2017, 62 autres QCMs ont été présentés et corrigés avec les deux groupes d'étudiants. Résultats : parmi les 117 étudiants inscrits à la conférence Hippofac, 93 ont répondu (48 et 45 participants dans chaque groupe respectif). La comparabilité des performances des deux groupes a été vérifiée (p = 0,74). Nous montrons une amélioration significative des moyennes aux QCMs après conférence (0,52 ± 0.21 vs 0,47 ± 0.21 ; p = 0,01). Une bonne note en sémiologie était corrélée à un meilleur classement aux ECNi (r = -0,30). Conclusion : la sémiologie est une discipline importante pour les ECNi et pour la pratique clinique future. Favoriser son apprentissage pourrait passer par les conférences, mais également par d'autres outils utiles à tout moment du cursus.
