However, the majority of elementary schools in the La Crosse school district are not teaching composting to students. Many teachers either lack adequate knowledge about composting or have limited time to develop a composting curriculum for their classrooms. In response to this need, this guidebook was developed and intended to help teachers, interns, and volunteers to educate their students about composting.
