There is always hope, with Gods help. God can give you peace, even when your life is in chaos. In light of recent events, Americans are looking more at the complex reasons that cause shootings. A significant number place the blame with parents not paying enough attention to their children, and of course, mental illness. It has been shown from previous shootings that usually these young people feel like outsiders because they dont have a peer groups respect and support, and they felt unloved at home. Love is one primary inhibitor to bad behavior. I show in my book that there are three primary inhibitors that will make a difference with the behavior of most children. With our complicated lives, all the distractions and demands on each of us, we have to make the most of the time we have with our children. If the influence of the three primary inhibitors is not being felt by your children, then they may not have moral restraints to prevent bad choices.

Book excerpt: Collision Course demonstrates that the United States was founded by Christians seeking religious freedom and economic opportunity - a grand experiment that made the common man "king." Those new world immigrants brought with them a Christian worldview marked by a robust Protestant work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit that prospered in the wilds of America's unchartered capitalistic economy that eventually made the European franchise the envy of the world. The backbone of that exceptional success was her Christian foundation that nourished critical institutions - family, religion, government, education and economy. However, as the history of past empires demonstrates, most often the founding ingredients wear thin and now, two and a half centuries later, America finds herself at a moral tipping point having abandoned much of her original Christian influence. Collision Course tracks America's approaching moral tipping point which demands a call for an emergency renewal - a true repentance - to change course in order to avoid being relegated to the dust bin of history and end times irrelevancy.Collision Course in 14 chapters:-Establishes America's Christian heritage, not a theocracy but a nation that was significantly bred on Christian precepts.-Demonstrates that America's defining institutions embraced Christian principles and values, the key to her exceptional prosperity.-Shows that the Father of lies and his cabal of evil proxies aggressively watered-down Christianity's influence. -Identifies those contemporary evil proxies by name and how they brought America to the present moral tipping point.-Profiles a movement now rising to oppose the threat to America's future.-Provides a comprehensive strategy to save America from falling over the moral tipping point by making her more Christian again.

Book excerpt: Why Collision Course? Abraham doubted and stumbled, as we all do. Because of that he left behind a legacy culminating in a collision course between Ishmael's descendants and God's chosen people (Deuteronomy 7:6), the Jewish nation and His Elect, Christ's Holy Church. This enmity that began in antiquity has now manifestly escalated into the earth-shattering conflicts we see splashed all over our TV, on the Internet, and in the print news media daily. We see the hostility and imperialistic belligerence of Islam toward the rest of the world due to Abraham's impiety. However, we see it expressly directed at the Jew and the Christian. For a thousand years, beginning with the Nakhla raid in the mid-seventh century until the Ottoman Empire was soundly defeated at the Battle of Vienna in 1643, Islam's goal was to conquer the world for Allah. It is clear in our day that Islam has once again rekindled its imperialistic mode. In the course of doing research for my first book, Before the Final Trump, I discovered what I believe is an oft overlooked dynamic or link in the ebb and flow of the two disparate sons of Abraham. It is through the life of Abraham that God began to reveal that man comes to God only by faith, not works. That being said, it is the case that most people don't seem to be able to connect the dots between Bible prophecy and everyday events and the end to which they are leading. This is also true of many Christians who should know what the Bible says and be able to tie it to the world in which we live--sadly that is not the case.

Have you tried everything to heal the pain you feel deep inside, but still feel lost and lonely? Barry Ferguson takes you on a fantastic journey of discovery through his own transformation by weaving his personal story with a proven step-by-step roadmap that will heal even the most hardened of hearts. After nearly dying in two separate car accidents during a six-week period, Barry set off on a quest to completely change his life and find his true calling. What he found has been distilled into an easy to digest, faith-based guide to living a heart-centered life built upon God’s unconditional love. Despite his many failures in life, Barry has learned from his mistakes and helps others do the same. He believes that everyone deserves to be loved...including you. Digging deep into his own disappointments, Barry gives an authentic account of resurrection from the depths of his own broken life to inspire others in becoming the people God wants them to be. Collision Course is an incredible resource for any follower of Jesus who has felt a crisis of faith at one time or another, as well as for those who are new to the Christian journey. Barry shows how the journey of life is more important than the destination, and everything you need to succeed in life comes from God. If you died today, could you honestly say you gave more love than you took? What would you do to change the equation?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "More than any other book, the Bible offers an amazing collection of fascinating characters ranging from the holiest of the holy to some of the most depraved scoundrels imaginable. Many are mentioned only in passing, yet history and archaeology can often fill in the blanks and flesh them out as exciting human beings. For this reason we have in many cases been able to tell much more about them than the Bible alone reveals." -- Richard R. Losch (from the preface)A comprehensive gathering of persons found in the Bible, including the Apocrypha, All the People in the Bible really delivers on its title: literally all of the Bible's characters appear in this fascinating reference work. From the first article on Aaron to the final entry on Zophar, Richard Losch details each person in a lively narrative style. The bulk of the book consists of Losch's A-Z articles covering the familiar and the not-so-familiar figures in Scripture. Names of people who are found only in genealogies or who had no significant effect on history are included solely in the alphabetical listing starting on page 452. That listing, "All the People in the Bible and Apocrypha," includes pronunciations, brief identifications, and biblical references. Persons covered in greater detail in the main part of the book are identified in bold print.Losch's intriguing look at all the people in the Bible is anything but a dry reference work. This is a book to dip into and enjoy over and over.

Book excerpt: Who is Jesus? A mere historical figure? A man with a vision? A prophet? A teacher? A philosopher? It is simple. Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is God Himself. He is our Saviour, Redeemer, Master, the King of kings, Lord of Lords, our Teacher, our Messiah, our Hope, the Way, the Truth, the alpha and the omega, the one worthy to open the scrolls, and He is the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world was laid and He is the Lion that returns in all His Glory! Jesus is the most important person in the whole Bible. He's the most important person ever to walk this earth. He's the most important person for you to know. He's the King our world needs, the hero all our stories reveal we long for, and the Saviour we desperately need. He is the bread of life. He is the door to our salvation. He is the good shepherd. He is the resurrection and the life. He is the way and the truth and the life. He is the true vine. He is the Son of David, the Righteous King. He is the Word. He is the Balm of Gilead. Hs Blood still saves, heals, delivers and redeems! He is the author and finisher of our faith and unto Him comes all the praise and honour, indeed, unto Him comes hosanna in the highest.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A role model tells her story—and that of the nation and the church. Hallelujah, Anyhow! is the long-awaited memoir of the Rt. Rev. Barbara Harris, the first woman bishop in the Anglican Communion. Edited by Kelly Brown Douglas, Dean of the Episcopal Divinity School at Union Seminary and an author and noted theologian in her own right, the book offers previously untold stories and glimpses into Bishop Harris’ childhood and young adult years in her native Philadelphia, as well as her experiences as priest and bishop, both active and actively-retired. A participant in Dr. Martin Luther King’s march from Selma to Montgomery and crucifer at the ordination of the “Philadelphia 11,” Bishop Harris has been eyewitness to national and church history. In the book, she reflects on her experiences with the “racism, sexism, and other ‘isms’ that pervade the life of the church,” while still managing to say, “Hallelujah, Anyhow.” Photographs accompany the text and round out this portrait of a pioneer, respected outside as well as inside the church for her fierce, outspoken, and life-long advocacy for peace and justice.

When time is short, it delivers an essential understanding of the Old Testament with unsurpassed clarity and convenience. 1,2 Samuel is the final volume in the 32-book Old and New Testament series and insightfully magnifies the grace of God that is greater than all our sin through the story of David who, despite his failings, would become a man after God's own heart and the model for all future kings.
