The consequences of the choices we make in life determine which way it will be. We can’t control many of life’s events, but we can control how we deal with them. Our responsibility is to build a successful life in a world of confusion, pain, and disorientation. In Choices: Responsible Decisions for a Godly Life, author Dr. Robert F. Kirk explains that each of us is responsible for the outcome of our life. The individual choices we make in life determine what we will become. Kirk discusses the natural and spiritual choices that determine our success or failure, and he recommends the Book of Proverbs as a guide for Godly wisdom to assist us in those decisions. The Book of Proverbs, a powerful book that provides instruction and guidance, instructs us to partner with God in our choices using His wisdom. We don’t have to travel the road of life alone. However, we must make our own choices and we need to choose wisely to be successful. Choices: Responsible Decisions for a Godly Life will help you make a plan for wise decisions in your life.

Book Synopsis The Building of an Airport: Port Columbus by : Robert F. Kirk
Download or read book The Building of an Airport: Port Columbus written by Robert F. Kirk and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2019-04-12 with total page 287 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The building of an airport in 1929 was not just developing a design and bringing together concrete and steel. It needed a radical design idea of how to safely bring heavier than air flying machines together with people as passengers. The questions involved defied answers. Such as how far can an aircraft safely fly? How many people can make up a safe flight? What should the design of an airport look like and how can man and machine fit together in a way that moved both forward? There were a thousand questions with few known answers. It took brave, intelligent, far sighted individuals to push the limits of imagination, machines, human stamina and vision to bring all of the needed elements together. These elements would build a great airport with a successful design for people and machines of flight. The thinkers realized that air was much like water and as such the skies could be like rivers or oceans that served major cities with commerce. The building of a great airport could become a “Giant Air Harbor” that could serve as a mighty air center of commerce. Such was the beginning of Port Columbus, the “Nation’s Greatest Air Harbor.”

Download or read book Choices written by Calypse Agborsangaya and published by . This book was released on 2017-02-09 with total page 65 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Someone once said "You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change". The course of life is determined by the decisions we make. Everyday, an individual makes an estimated 10,000 choices. Even indecision is a decision by itself. With this inevitability in mind, this book provides a non-scientific yet compelling argument for us to make conscious deliberate decisions when faced with choices. The reader will be mesmerized by the vivid examples and the author's simple steps to making Godly decisions. As Aristotle put it ""Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives - choice, not chance, determines your destiny." Therefore read this book and learn to make good decisions.

Book Synopsis Paul’s Decision Making in Acts by : Wayne ODonnell
Download or read book Paul’s Decision Making in Acts written by Wayne ODonnell and published by Wayne ODonnell. This book was released on 2020-05-15 with total page 560 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a commentary on the New Testament Book of Acts that is primarily about the Apostle Paul and his mission to the Aegean. All my books can be read online for free at http://wayneodonnell.com or http://bible.ag. “Freely you have received, freely give” (Mt. 10:8). In 1980, Garry Friesen wrote "Decision Making and the Will of God," a book that debunked the traditional view that God leads by inward impressions into His perfect, specific will. But Bible teachers continue teach prayer is a two-way conversation; churches continue to question pastoral candidates about their ‘call’ to the ministry; and Christians continue to try to discern God’s inner voice to make decisions. Christians in the book of Acts made their decisions by the Word and Wisdom, not by listening for inward impressions. Almost all Paul’s decisions in Acts can be explained by 17 logical principles he followed. Paul was Jesus' surrogate to complete Jesus' mission to bring the gospel to the Gentiles of the Aegean Sea, and to the Jews of the diaspora. Isaiah 49:1, 6. "Listen, O Islands, to me; and hearken, you Jewish People, from far. The LORD has called me from the womb. ... He said, 'It is a light thing that you would be my servant to ... restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, so that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.'" The first part of the book of Acts asks, "Can even Gentiles be saved?" But the last part focuses on Luke's real message: The Congregation should continue to look equally Jewish and Gentile, even though Gentiles become far more numerous in the Congregation. This is God’s highest purpose; gathering two into the one body of Messiah, according to Ephesians. All Paul's epistles were written by the end of Acts 28. There’s no need for a speculated release and second Roman imprisonment. This book also provides an accounting of the movements of Paul's coworkers; and a history of Charismaticism, Christian mysticism, and the false doctrine of "Let Go and Let God.”

Download or read book The Christian Life written by Karl Barth and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2017-08-24 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Karl Barth (1886-1968) was described by Pope Pius XII as the most important theologian since Thomas Aquinas, and his writings from the perspective of a renewed 'theology of the Word of God' continue to be a major influence among Christians, students of theology and preachers around the world today. His theology creatively re-works key Christian doctrines including the Trinity, Christology and salvation including therein, importantly, the doctrine of election. The product of the sustained work of more than three decades, his closely-reasoned fourteen volume magnum opus, The Church Dogmatics, represents the culmination of Barth's own achievements and is regarded as perhaps one of the most significant theological works of all time. As part of the theological ethics integral to this dogmatic vision, The Christian Life offers a fascinating and provocative account of the Christian orientation toward ethical life from the perspective of divine reconciliation, setting forth a distinctive vision that sees prayer as the heart of a moral passion for the honour of God and the struggle for human righteousness. The work of one of the most influential Protestant theologians of the twentieth century, this Cornerstones edition includes a brand new introduction by Philip G. Ziegler, both examining and celebrating the message of one of Barth's last and most suggestive writings.
