However, there exist a number of problems in China's beef industry, such as low carcass weight, inconsistent and sometimes poor quality, and lack of coordination. China is in the process of developing its beef supply chain. To further facilitate development of China's beef industry, the overall management of the supply chain from producer to consumer is of great importance. The major research objective is to study beef supply chain management in China so as to improve the performance of the Chinese beef industry..."--abstract.
