Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have written many Concrete Visual and Shaped (CVS) poems over the years. Most of them were designed to be broadsides or poster poems, large and impressive by their size and presence. Most of them, however, were never published commercially because the cost of the artwork and print runs were too expensive for me. It is also difficult to find printers who want to set up and run a limited edition of 500 or fewer broadside or poster poems, especially if they require careful color registration and special printing and paper. The only poem that was printed in the manner I envisioned and planned was "Lonely Nights & Wild Women Auto Poem State Four." This I printed under the imprint of my own press, Light ٠ Gravity, which I founded in 1970. Artwork and camera-ready versions were also completed for two other poems included here, "Elbow" and "Voyageurs Metropolitains." Ten of the CVS poems in this collection were privately printed and distributed by me in 2006 in a special edition I prepared for my friends under the imprint of my own press, Light ٠ Gravity, Berkeley, California. That was their first limited public appearance. Friends who knew about these CVS poems requested that I provide copies for them, which I did. Some of the recipients of the limited edition are listed in the acknowledgements to this edition. For the privately printed edition. individually numbered and signed, I selected ten CVS poems that I created and designed entirely myself, and provided a brief history and background for each poem and an essay on "How to Read," which I have also included here. This commercial edition includes four additional poems previously published in my other books of poems, but which I think important to add to this collection of my CVS poems.

Book excerpt: One of the most famous lines in movie history is, "I see dead people", uttered by a young boy. Is there any reason to believe that children can see the dead? Do they have spooky powers denied to adults? Do they grow out of these powers as they reach puberty? Do they forget that they once interacted with the dead? One study says that by age seven, 65 percent of children have had an imaginary friend. Are these "imaginary friends" actually spirits? Do children have the dead as their "imaginary" playmates? They're not imaginary at all. They're real, but they're dead! Children are natural mediums, psychics, and necromancers. They can channel the other world. Is the poltergeist phenomenon caused by children's imaginary friends? Can imaginary friends operate externally to children's minds? Are some children in cahoots with spirits? There is nothing more fascinating than the psychic abilities of children and the astonishing thing that eventually happens to them which suppresses their paranormal powers in order to allow them to enter the normal world, the adult world. What would you prefer – to remain a child all your life and have paranormal powers, or to become an adult and sacrifice your paranormal powers? Nature has made this a tradeoff. Do you want to be Peter Pan, who can fly but can never grow up, or do you want to join the adults and have adult fun and also adult responsibilities? Why do children lose their natural powers? Is it possible to get these powers back? Can adults recover their lost paranormal abilities, the abilities which society warned them as children never to play with? It's always dangerous to play with fire. It's even more dangerous to ignore your natural fire. Isn't it time to light up your life?

Book excerpt: High adventures across Earth's most strategic continent Result of 15 years of research and writing, W. Harold Fuller's latest book comes out as the world's spotlight swings from the West to Asia. Third in his "Sun Triad," Fuller's 12th book reflects 50 years of editing and writing, as well as leading seminars on six continents. Fuller was a founding member of the Association of Evangelicals of Africa, vice-chair of World Evangelical Alliance, executive member of Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC), and member of Secretaries of Christian Communities (Geneva) as well as correspondent for The Christian Herald, Christianity Today, and others. (See also Run While the Sun is Hot, 1967 (Africa) and Tie Down the Sun, 1990 (South America). Fuller was editor-in-chief of African Challenge, SIM's SIM Now, and several vernacular publications. Moody Press selected his first travelog, Run While the Sun Is Hot, for its Book of the Month Club (1968). In 1991, EFC awarded first prize to his second travelog, Tie Down the Sun. EFC's magazine, Faith Today, also awarded Fuller its 1996 Leslie K. Tarr Award "in recognition of outstanding contribution to the field of Christian writing." Sun Like Thunder combines historical research, missiological insight, and journalistic skill to impel readers through Asia's revolutionary history and the gospel's regenerating impact to unwrap Asia's mysteries. With honesty, he handles such topics as Islam, cross-cultural missions, and the Far East's rising competition with the West. Many surprises challenge reader preconceptions.

In her travels she visits Italy and is struck by its beauty and the life style of the people that live there. She then becomes curious as to why her grandparents ever left Italy. When she begins to ask questions about their lives she discovers that everyone has weaknesses and triumphs which lead her to a greater understanding of her life.
