L'importance dimensionnelle, surfacique ou volumique des dents conditionne leur résistance au déplacement thérapeutique, leur "valeur d'ancrage." A l'aide des mèmes logiciels, nous nous sommes intéressés aux groupes dentaires usuellement déplacés en orthodontie, et nous avons calculé - les valeurs d'ancrage des groupes de dents, - la localisation tridimensionnelle des centres de résistance de groupe. Enfin, la mécanique des diverses étapes thérapeutiques s'appuyant sur des ancrages "absolus," complétant l'ancrage dentaire a été développé, et nous l'avons comparé aux mécaniques classiques appuyées sur des forces extra-orales.
