The same is true with divine healing, The Scripture in Proverb 4:20-22 describes God's Word as medication, and like any medication must be taken as prescribed. After many years of painful suffering, I was finally trained in the Faith and prayer ministry, after which the Lord called me to write this book and build the faith of his people. If there is one ministry that has been abused, it is the prayer ministry. But the very nature of cancer - mysterious, capricious, and deadly - challenged medical authority in the past as much as it does today, and in Negotiating Disease Barbara Clow lays to rest old assumptions about the monopoly of health care by doctors in the first half of the twentieth century. Her detailed analysis of popular beliefs and behaviours reveals the compelling logic of personal decisions about health and healing.
