Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you looking for actionable things that you can do to help your cancer treatment, or possibly prevent cancer in the first place? Something with scientific evidence that it works? Something that you won’t be embarrassed to discuss with your family doctor or oncologist? Something that can improve your immune system and general health? That is exactly what you will find in this book. Read on for… • Actionable methods for naturally treating and preventing cancer (the scientific way, not the internet blogger way) • Simple things that you can add to your medical treatment to Improve Your Odds of successfully fighting cancer • 100% backed by science that you, or your doctor, can easily verify • Easy to read and understand, but formatted so that you can share the science with your doctor • Improve your immune system and general health • Evidence that some of the recommendations may significantly improve immunotherapy outcomes, as well as benefit chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. • New research information that has the potential to save many lives My hope is you’ll use this information to improve your medical treatment, not replace it. Even though some of the natural treatments have been scientifically shown to be very effective on their own, they are even more effective when used in conjunction with modern medicine. This is called “adjuvant” therapy. You should strive to “Improve Your Odds” of beating cancer, not thumb your nose at modern medicine. You do not need a scientific or medical background to understand this narrative—but its claims are evidenced with scientific abstracts that your doctor will appreciate (abstracts that you can skip if you wish to cut your reading time in half!). You will find that all recommendations have solid evidence behind them; this isn’t just another book where someone is simply making it all up and telling you what you want to hear. You should read this book with a highlighter and pencil at your side. This book has been extensively researched, and some of the information found here you will probably find in no other book or medical website. There is a special emphasis on how you can improve your immune system to better fight almost any cancer, even before you know you have it. You aren’t trying to fire your doctor; you just want to help “Improve Your Odds.” This book will help you do that. Your oncologist will want to know all of the supplements you are taking and why. This book includes the scientific abstracts and the information they need to find the full research studies. This will explain the “why” so you don’t have to. They may also want to geek out on all of this science as they rarely get exposed to research on natural cancer treatments. Finally, this book enables you to take some control over your cancer treatment or genetic predisposition. In fact, most of the recommendations in this book are great even if you are healthy, as they can help prevent cancer and improve your immune system, too. Whether you may have breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, etc., improving the immune system and your body’s ability to fight cancer is always beneficial.

Book excerpt: A Natural Guide to Treatment of Cancer, Breast Cancer, Cancer and Nutrition, Beating Cancer and Fighting Cancer. Want to Live? Want to Beat That Cancer? Do Everything Possible to Win? See Your Kids & Grandkids Grow Up? Walk Away ALIVE? There are WELL DOCUMENTED, PEER REVIEWED Studies That Show You Free or Nearly Free Things You Can DO That REALLY IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES! I'm a #1 Bestselling (in Amazon Health) author and spent 5 years writing this little book for my wife and her family -- so far, except for her, they ALL have gotten BREAST CANCER and they all died. It's horrible. And they're NOT BRCA gene positive. She's the lone survivor still standing (she was the youngest out of 5 women) and I really wish to keep her that way. So let me share what I found with you -- it's written from my heart, it's everything I could come up with after 30 years of practicing medicine. And I wrote this for you -- you women with breast cancer -- trying to survive, scared to death. I want to level the playing field for you...AND I FOUND IT'S AMAZING WHAT ALL YOU CAN DO TO SURVIVE! I believe, with all my heart, that if you do everything that studies suggest you should do, you can increase your odds of survival, odds of WINNING, odds of killing the beast of BREAST CANCER, MANY-FOLD. First I tell you how to REALLY predict your odds of getting breast cancer -- you have to know this. Then I tell you EVERYTHING documented in the peer-reviewed medical literature that can help you prevent breast cancer. 30+ STEPS! WOW! Then I give you the meat -- for those of you with breast cancer (I am soo sorry) -- on EVERYTHING you can do to improve your odds of surviving, of going into COMPLETE REMISSION (WINNING!!!). PLUS I give you lists to make it easy to follow. Have ACTIVE Cancer? Doctors say your Chances are LOW? Scared to DEATH? I show you what kind & how FASTING prior to your CHEMO can increase your odds of COMPLETE REMISSION plus reduce your chemo side effects. For Early Stage (or ANY Stage) Cancers I show you how to DRAMATICALLY reduce your chance for METASTASES -- a CRITICAL THING! Cancer cells have roughly 8X the metabolic needs of regular cells -- I show you research to use this against those bad cells! Did you know there's a cheap easy-to-take medication that any doctor can prescribe that INCREASES your chance of COMPLETE REMISSION by 50% or more? I show you a great (but all natural) prescription medicine you can get to increase your odds for COMPLETE REMISSION by 5 FOLD!! (Plus get rid of miserable symptoms caused by some of the therapies you're going through)! What’s a Stage 4 Breast Cancer Diagnosis Chance of Survival? 15% UGH! But do what the literature actually suggests? How high can you go? Whether you have a Stage 1 or Stage 4 BREAST CANCER, you are in for a FIGHT for YOUR LIFE, and you need to do EVERYTHING your doctor tells you to do -- from CHEMO to SURGERY. But what if I can show you how to do what your doctor says but to do it a little differently, to tweak things a little to massively improve your odds of winning against this beast? And really-- does your doctor know everything? I don't. And I've been practicing medicine for 30 years. I've even written a textbook on Preventive Medicine (my Program120 book) and 11 other books (yes, and some have been bestsellers on Amazon) but I wrote this book FOR YOU and FOR YOUR DOCTORS -- all these studies are peer reviewed, solid and major trials -- nothing small. Your surgeons and doctors just don't have the time to look all of this up and to sit and chat with you for hours about all of this. So I put it into a book (and an online course too you can view but that's for another time and place) -- I've thrown it out there -- and I do not take this lightly or I could be sued into oblivion.

Patients who manage their cancer have the best chance of staying alive, having a good quality of life, or of being cured. They seek second opinions, research all types of cancer treatments, ask the right questions, protect themselves against errors during treatment, and change their lifestyles. This book provides patients with more than 200 things they need to know and elaborates on more than 200 things they can do. Doing only a few of these things may save your life. This book teaches patients how to increase their odds, how to go about making treatment decisions, how to find what they need on the Internet, why research services are worth their weight in gold, and much more. Managing Cancer: Managing to Stay Alive gives patients the following: information about what to do first; forms to help keep track of medical information; lists of questions to use to evaluate treatment options (traditional, integrative, alternative, and experimental); questions to have answered before deciding on a treatment, when given a new medication, and before having a biopsy procedure; questions to ask conventional doctors, alternative doctors, the oncologist initially, and yourself before beginning a treatment; information on how to help avoid becoming one of the 50,000 Americans who die from medical errors in hospitals or one of the 100,000 patients who die from hospital infections each year; and concise listings of symptoms of medical emergencies such as infection, anemia, blood clotting problems, allergic reactions, and adverse reactions to drugs.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cancer: 100 Ways to Fight Your own attitude is your brightest guiding star. Some of success is doing what you like to do. But, more of it is doing the things you don’t like to do, but must. It is too easy to make an excuse, and not do it, and fail. –John Roberts As this book goes to press early in 2010, I am 75 and into my fifth year with incurable metastatic prostate cancer, which had already spread to the bones before cancer was diagnosed and the prostate removed. The statistical prognosis for the current treatments of choice is that one-half of these patients will die within three years, 75% within five. This usually happens after the standard treatments and chemotherapy fail and must be discontinued due to harmful side effects or weakening effectiveness, resumed cancer growth, and the failure of bones or key organs. I am still feeling fine, no pain, living a normal life, and I have completed eight months of chemotherapy with a 63% drop in my PSA (prostate cancer blood test) without major side affects or rising PSA. I have fought this cancer and its personal consequences in more than a hundred ways as described here. Above all, a lifetime of fitness, and my current excellent physical and mental condition, supplemented by great medical care and everything else I can learn or think of, is partially responsible for my success in living beyond the average life span for my particular fatal disease. We cannot know which weapon or how much each one contributes to the extension of life, so we must use them all. The doctors all say that cancer survival is very unpredictable, and I figured that many of the positive outcomes must depend on how comprehensively and how hard the individual fights. So, I immediately started this book and organized my fight. I was extremely unfortunate: most prostate cancer either is so slow growing, or eliminated by removal, that survivors live for many years. In my case, it had already spread, or metastasized, to the bones prior to the operation, and that cancer is inoperable and incurable. But, some people in that condition die very early, while others, like me, live much longer. This is highly unpredictable in individual cases due to variation in patient condition, treatment effectiveness, and other unknowns. More than half of all people newly diagnosed with cancer will be cured or given extended remission. They will die of something else. Of the other half, a large number have treatable cancer and they still have many years to live. The remainder, probably including me, have learned that they have incurable cancer that has grown too strong or spread and taken root in such places that it cannot be killed or removed and death is likely in the next few months or years. Nevertheless, normally incurable cancer and conventional predictability sometimes fail, and others may prolong life by fighting with strong mental and physical effort. As the disease progresses and is treated, and science advances, sometimes in great leaps, we are rarely sure of which group we are in. That uncertainty, that hope, and the dreadful power of cancer, call for great strength of character and effort in both patients and those around them. This book is about that. The animal instinct to survive is, in humans alone, expanded in our unique cortex to something much greater––the intelligent understanding of self-awareness and an intense desire to prolong the experience, growth, and emotion of life. The human spirit, beyond the mere motivation of existence, is largely responsible for all that our species has conquered and achieved. It is an essential quality to be trained, treasured, and put to use, and one of the finest ways is to survive, continue, and improve our exceptional life through our collective and individual intellect. In the last century, medical science, the visibility of living in distant years, and the recognition that we are, and can be, responsible for increasing our own longevity have ad

Book excerpt: 'I have cancer. Cancer does not have me.' Sophie Sabbage was diagnosed with late stage 'incurable' lung cancer in October 2014. She was 48 years old, happily married with a 4-year-old daughter. Since that day - when doctors told Sophie that her prognosis was poor - she has been on a remarkable journey of healing and transformation that has reshaped her vocation as well as changed her life for the better. The Cancer Whisperer chronicles Sophie's extraordinary relationship with cancer and the methods that she has used for dealing with fear, anger, denial and grief. The essence of 'cancer whispering' was born of Sophie's determination to take cancer off the battlefield and into the classroom. Instead of going to war with it, Sophie has chosen to listen to it, learn from it and choose her own response to it. Sophie offers a radically different way of relating to this disease both mentally and practically: she shares the research she has done, the treatments she has chosen, the diet she follows and the resources that she feels have made the biggest differences in the hope that they will help others cut through the mass of information out there. Sophie says: 'This book is for the cancer patient who wants to remain a dignified, empowered human being even when your doctors and diagnosis are scaring the hell out of you. It is also for the cancer patient who has a hunch that there is something for them to learn, gain or even be transformed by - if they just knew how to relate to this disease differently to the way most of society does. It is for the cancer patient, perhaps any patient.'
