Book Synopsis Blood of the Lamb Catholic Bible Study by : Beth Leonard
Download or read book Blood of the Lamb Catholic Bible Study written by Beth Leonard and published by Author House. This book was released on 2014-03 with total page 159 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If blood were money, then Jesus left this world penniless. For our sake and the will of his Father, Jesus completely emptied himself for the amassed debt of mankind. From the droplets of circumcision to the outpouring of blood and water upon the cross, Jesus gave all he had to give so we might share in his resurrection. Holy Scripture waits for our stillness before it speaks to us for its great value and mysterious contents are hidden from the one who passes by quickly. But for the one who sits with patience, it speaks volumes; revealing worth and fortune we did not know were possible. The Blood of the Lamb Catholic Bible Study creates an atmosphere for learning, reflecting and sharing. By blending Holy Scripture, catechism, and liturgy with anecdotal stories, it strikes a refined balance to studying the Bible. Intentionally decide to snuggle closer to God, stretch yourself to use the gifts given to you, and open your heart a bit wider. You will be amazed at the graces He wants to pour out to you, through the Blood of the Lamb. "Scripture is best when it is memorable, useful, and fruitful." Author, Beth Leonard

Download or read book Maharanis written by Lucy Moore and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2006-06-27 with total page 407 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Until the 1920s, to be a Maharani, wife to the Maharajah, was to be tantalizingly close to the power and glamour of the Raj, but locked away in purdah as near chattel. Even the educated, progressive Maharani of Baroda, Chimnabai—born into the aftermath of the 1857 Indian Mutiny—began her marriage this way, but her ravishing daughter, Indira, had other ideas. She became the Regent of Cooch Behar, one of the wealthiest regions of India while her daughter, Ayesha, was elected to the Indian Parliament. The lives of these influential women embodied the delicate interplay between rulers and ruled, race and culture, subservience and independence, Eastern and Western ideas, and ancient and modern ways of life in the bejeweled exuberance of Indian aristocratic life in the final days both of the Raj, and the British Empire. Tracing these larger than life characters as they bust every known stereotype, Lucy Moore creates a vivid picture of an emerging modern, democratic society in India and the tumultous period of Imperialism from which it arose. Through the sumptuous, adventurous lives of three generations of Indian queens—from the period following the Indian Mutiny of 1857 to the present, Lucy Moore traces the cultural and political changes that transformed their world.

Download or read book My Life Story written by H. Bill Coker and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-09-28 with total page 137 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My life is defined by many expressions and experiences designed to facilitate a trajectory of hopeful destiny. This process entails continuance in faithful endurance, anchored to prayer and confidence in the promises of God. One is called to recognize a purpose-filled journey through perseverance of intentional prayers that can change things altogether, with profound expectation of that promise. This posture leads to what is hopeful, healing, and sustaining. Abandoning this discipline for a path of least resistance does not complement the expectations of a destined promise. Staying the course conditions the faithful servant to fulfill God's best at every station in the journey. No shortcuts; endurance in the unfamiliar positions us to make a choice of retreating or taking a risk at trusting God with unfeigned faith. The purpose of this book is threefold. First, it highlights testimonies of God's grace that have proven sufficient for those who will face the tough seasons in life. Second, it encourages and empowers those who are dealing with their personal struggles. Finally, it enumerates some tried and proven strategies that will serve as a guide to facilitate focus as one is discerning his/her process that will consequently lead to a hopeful destiny. This book will inspire confidence and faith in others to fulfill their purposes in life. The intentional reader will quickly realize that employing a life of prayer and holding on to God's promises, and the support of trusted agents will make the difference in all things. When one cries from the depths of his/her heart, God will always hear, and He will respond from heaven at His appointed time. God hears prayers of faith, and He always answers. The prophet Jeremiah records this promise this way, "Call on Me, and I will answer and show you great and mighty things that you know not of" (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV).

He knows about the Easter and Spring season that brings so much joy to children. So he makes plans to be sure that the holiday and the season will be special for each child. This is manifested by creating beautiful Easter Baskets, and lollypops for them. Bunny even infl uences his friends Billy Beaver, Bluebird, and Sammie Squirrel to help him. The setting is in the woods near the village, and the Chapel, where the children and their parents go to worship. The story opens with Bunny hiding in the bushes to watch the boys and the girls go into the Chapel, with their parents. Since he loves the children, and wants to make them smile, he starts to think about his outfit, and what he will wear for the occasion. But on the way to get this done, he finds little paint buckets, and decides to mix the colors, so that the eggs and the candy will look appealing to the children. Bunny goes to a village henhouse to purchase some eggs for the occasion, and gets into trouble with the hens in the henhouse. He is able to leave with the eggs. He paints the eggs. His next job was to fi nd sap and sugar to make the lollypops. After doing all this, including dressing himself, Bunny laid down under a tree to rest. His friends tried to awaken him, because they were afraid that it would get too dark to deliver gifts. Oh what a wonderful time the children have when they fi nd the baskets and the candy, near the Chapel. Near the end of the story Bunny is satisfied with his job, but he remembers that there is one more thing that he has forgotten to do. Finally, he remembers to wish everyone, “a happy Easter.”
Book Synopsis The Adventures of Bunny Flu Flu by : Cheryl McClellan
Download or read book The Adventures of Bunny Flu Flu written by Cheryl McClellan and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2008-01-07 with total page 87 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bunny Flu Flu is a precocious little rabbit who loves life and often learns life’s lessons the hard way. I started writing her stories over seven years ago when I would be inspired by one of my grandchildren. There is a little of each of them in many of Bunny Flu Flu’s adventures. What started out as a series of poems slowly birthed itself into the idea of a book with illustrations to capture the hearts of parents and their children. A wonderful young man named Edwin Faulkner assisted with bringing Bunny Flu Flu to life when he sat down with colored pencils and sketched the first illustrations. She’s as adorable as I imagined her to be and each of her critter friends come alive as they journey through the pages of the book with Flu Flu. I hope you enjoy each of her escapades with me and who knows .... She might just teach us a thing or two along the way. Enjoy with my sincere pleasure, Cheryl McClellan
