Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life is a battleground and it is a fundamental truth that we all encounter painful experiences in life that leave us paralyzed one way or another and as we journey through life, we are marred by self-inflicted limitations. Limitations are circumstances that restrain or restrict our movements in life. Some are spiritual limitations while some are self-imposed limitations, which is as a result of past experiences. A limited man is a restricted man and limitations are designed to prevent many from living the abundant life already made available for them through the finished works of Christ. In order to live a limitless life, we must make a conscious effort to shatter the limitations that are holding us back and this book is compiled to help you understand that self-inflicted limitations are destructive, detrimental and causes life to derail. We must not set limitations on ourselves based on the challenges we encounter in life. To help you understand that regardless of the obstacles that may present themselves in our lives, we must consciously go after our dreams fearlessly and not be afraid to break barriers and push forward towards our destiny. It is also compiled to help you understand that freedom is not the absence of limitations but the choice as to what you choose to restrain and restrict your progress because ultimately your freedom is in your hands.

Through it all, her family and friends watched the sport consume her; and every person that came into her life was affected by the constant fight for perfection, and the mental and physical exhaustion. Those who had the strength never left her side. And when the dust settled, a woman emerged who was stronger than she ever thought she could be. Book excerpt: reaking the Limit is one woman's account of riding her motorcycle from New Jersey to Alaska and back. Realizing that years of work and travel in other people's countries made her a stranger in her own, and with an invitation to meet her biological father for the first time, Karen Larsen set out on a fifteen-thousand-mile trip with nothing but her motorcycle and the barest of essentials. Larsen's journey tests the limits of her own endurance, challenges her long-held beliefs and values, and asks what it means to belong to a family. Through the the fields of Iowa and the deserts of the Southwest, over the Rockies and across Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, Larsen confronts questions of femininity, family, independence, and personal identity. Her journey speaks to the immense space and over-whelming beauty of North America, as well as to the diversity and vitality of the people she meets along the way. Breaking the Limit invites you to join her as she braces against the wind, trades security for freedom, sacrifices stability for motion, and opens herself up to the vast canopy of a continent.

Book excerpt: Breaking Vases powerfully and vividly captures the rich heritage of one woman's Middle East, along with its brutal realities, which followed Dima Ghawi from her native Jordan to her adopted country, the United States. Brought up in a small, conservative Christian community in Amman, Dima learned to be quiet and subservient to her elders and to men. When she was just five, Dima's beloved grandmother warned that a woman's greatest responsibility was to preserve her image-one as fragile as a glass vase-and the honor of her family's reputation. Anything less was shameful. Yet her grandmother also planted a seed: the simple hope that Dima could graduate from college and become the first formally educated woman in her family. At nineteen, hoping to free herself from cultural constraints and her father's turbulent temper, she accepted a traditional marriage proposal from an older, affluent, and seemingly Western-minded jeweler. Newly married and in a state of naive love, she happily uprooted her life in Amman and moved with him to California. But San Diego's "Little Middle East" was not her American dream. She soon realized that her husband was more traditional and controlling than she had imagined. Changing her circumstances would be dangerous and require courage Dima had never known before. Nevertheless, she was determined to transform her destiny, even if it meant standing alone and facing life-threatening consequences. Her memoir captures the terrors and joys of escaping confinements, crossing continents, and daring to discover and create a bold identity and life purpose.

The songs, instruments and regalia all aid our praise, but this is not what constitutes praise itself. In this book, the author explains in detail what praise is, the different kinds of ways we can offer praise to God. When you are done with this book, you will have a whole different and richer understanding on how to praise God in a way that brings great results in your life.

Book excerpt: In Time and Death Carol White articulates a vision of Martin Heidegger's work which grows out of a new understanding of what he was trying to address in his discussion of death. Acknowledging that the discussion of this issue in Heidegger's major work Being and Time is often far from clear, White presents a new interpretation of Heidegger which short-circuits many of the traditional criticisms. White claims that we are all in a better position to understand Heidegger's insights after fifty years because they have now become a part of the conventional wisdom of common opinion. His view shows up in accounts of knowledge in the physical sciences, in the assumptions of the social sciences, in art and film, even in popular culture in general, but does so in ways ignorant of their origins. Now that these insights have filtered down into the culture at large, we can make Heidegger intelligible in a way that perhaps he himself could not. White presents the best possible case for Heidegger, making him more intelligible to those people with a long acquaintance with his work, those with a long aversion to it and in particular to those just starting to pursue an interest in it. White places the problems with which Heidegger is dealing in the context of issues in contemporary Anglo-American philosophy, in order to better locate him for the more mainstream audience. The language and approach of the book is able to accommodate the novice but also offers much food for thought for the Heidegger scholar.
