Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Creatively Supernatural! Offering a launching pad for you to burst into the realm of creative expression—that fun, fantasy world where the Creator is waiting to welcome you. There is a connection between creativity, your identity, the Church, and the world—and it is an important connection. Creativity is tied to all believers’ identity, all who are made in the image of the Creator, all who are born to create! Overflowing with many thrilling, modern-day testimonies, Born to Create emphasizes the magnitude of both craft—practice and excellence—as well as anointing. Many who have been freed to embrace their creative ideas and passions, whether in the art fields, business, or education, share their amazing stories with you. Their freedom allowed them to powerfully release healing, the prophetic, and the knowledge of God’s love into the marketplace. Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law… (Galatians 6:1 The Message). You will learn how the supernatural can be activated through what you create, and you will explore hindrances from understanding your creative destiny—your true identity.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Direction and Destiny in the Birth Chart returns due to popular demand! When Howard Sasportas died in 1992, the astrological community recognised that it had lost one of its best-loved and most original thinkers. His lectures made him a highly respected figure in the international astrological world. At Howard's seminars the participants could enjoy his unique combination of intuitive insight, humour, warmth, inspired interpretation, and profound grasp of human nature. It is his rare blend of spirituality and down-to-earth, trenchant observations of human psychological dynamics which makes his work so unusual and memorable. The three seminars included in this reprint of the original volume all deal with the themes of direction and destiny in the birth chart. In personal consultation work Howard had the gift of inspiring his clients and highlighting potentials which gave them renewed hope and new directions to pursue in life. These seminars convey the same optimism and positive vision of human possibilities. The first seminar, on the theme of vocation, deals practically, psychologically and philosophically with that most difficult of questions: How can we discover the "right" path in life? The second seminar, on those mysterious points in the horoscope known as the Moon's Nodes, explores the distinction between fate and destiny, and the ways in which, as Jung once put it, we can learn to "do what we must do gladly". The third seminar, on the psychology of the "helper", examines the astrological signatures of the aptitudes and psychological patterns of those who are called to work in the helping professions. This volume is accessible, profound and revealing, and is essential reading for any astrological student seeking to understand the mystery and creative challenge of what impels us to move forward in life.

Book excerpt: Anatomy is Destiny is the first monograph of artist Marina Font. Her photo-based work explores ideas about identity, gender, territory, language, memory and the forces of the unconscious. The book¿s title, stemming from Freud, also speaks to the ever-evolving understanding of gender and self-realization in the 21st century. The unique pieces reproduced in Anatomy is Destiny stem from a single source photograph made by Font of a nude female figure. Reminiscent of Da Vinci¿s Vitruvian Man, but with arms down and palms forward, the black and white photograph is both consistent and variant as Font renders each piece through application of embroidery, paint, yarn, and other materials. Through the rituals of these traditionally feminine practices, she, in her own words, ¿opens a dialogue between biology and psychology, our social and private persona¿ in the ¿evolving mutability¿ of womanhood.

Book excerpt: This book speaks to everyone, both young and old, as it seeks to inform and empower in the areas of personal development, relationships, finances, parenting and more. It is amazing how much power we have within us to determine and shape our destiny in many areas of our lives. We may not be able to control what life dishes out to us but we determine how we allow those events to affect us. Some of us may need to put in more effort than others, but with tenacity, perseverance, delayed gratification and faith, we all can succeed. I cannot put it better than Henry David Thoreau: I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor. Obviously we are not all going to become presidents or other public figures making global impacts. However, we can all live very successful lives, reach our highest potentials, and assist others in our circle of influence to do the same.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the Spaniards conquered the Yucatan Peninsula in the early 1500s, they made a great effort to destroy or Christianize the native cultures flourishing there. That they were in large part unsuccessful is evidenced by the survival of a number of documents written in Maya and preserved and added to by literate Mayas up to the 1830s. The Book of Chilam Balam of Chumayel is such a document, literally the history of Yucatan written by and for Mayas, and it contains much information not available from Spanish sources because it was part of an underground resistance movement of which the Spanish were largely unaware. Well known to Mayanists, The Book of Chilam Balam of Chumayel is presented here in Munro S. Edmonson's English translation, extensively annotated. Edmonson reinterprets the book as literature and as history, placing it in chronological order and translating it as poetry. The ritual nature of Mayan history clearly emerges and casts new light on Mexican and Spanish acculturation of the Yucatecan Maya in the post-Classic and colonial periods. Centered in the city of Merida, the Chumayel provides the western (Xiu) perspective on Yucatecan history, as Edmonson's earlier book The Ancient Future of the Itza: The Book of Chilam Balam of Tizimin presented the eastern (Itza) viewpoint. Both document the changing calendar of the colonial period and the continuing vitality of pre-Columbian ritual thought down to the nineteenth century. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the survival of the long-count dating system down to the Baktun Ceremonial of 1618 (12.0.0.0.0). But there are others: the use of rebus writing, the survival of the tun until 1752, graphic if oblique accounts of Mayan ceremonial drama, and the depiction of the Spanish conquest as a long-term inter-Mayan civil war.

Book excerpt: Fighting Destiny series # 1 Reissue originally published 2012 Set in a dark and crumbling near-future... Navy SEAL LT Shane Laughlin was dishonorably discharged and blacklisted—for being too honorable. Desperate for work and down to his last ten bucks, he takes a job as a test subject—a human guinea pig—at Boston’s Obermeyer Institute, a fringe scientific research facility. Shane’s skeptical when he finds out that OI’s focus is to find and train certain exceptional people, usually young girls—called “Greater-Thans”—whose skill-sets include telekinesis, telepathy, rapid self-healing, and super-human strength. And he’s even more surprised when he discovers that Mac, the mysterious woman who rocked his world in an epic one-night stand, is part of an elite team of kickass OI operatives who use their G-T skills to rescue and protect innocents. Because OI’s not the only organization trying to find Greater-Thans—and the other guys are out to exploit them. An illegal drug called “Destiny” is being made from the blood of young, untrained, and powerless Greater-Than girls. Addictive and dangerous, it gives its wealthy and reckless users instant G-T powers—including eternal youth—at a lethal price. Dr. Michelle “Mac” Mackenzie and her OI team are at war with the shadowy corporations who enslave girls to meet the rising demand for Destiny, and Shane wants to join them. He may not be a G-T, but as a former Navy SEAL, he’s got talents of his own. Still, Mac’s got powerful reasons to keep her distance from Shane. But when one very special little girl goes missing, Mac’s ready to do anything—including accept Shane’s help—to find and save her. Mac’s used to risking her life, but she now faces sacrificing her heart... Originally published in 2012 (170,000 words, original hard cover edition was 513 pages)
