Download or read book Blue Print for a Successful Marriage written by Dr. Joshua Joy Dara, Sr. and published by Author House. This book was released on 2010-05-07 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Marriage is a good institution in any society. The idea of two people coming together to form a union is brilliant. However, it is easy to get married but it is not easy to stay married. One obvious reason is the challenge of two different and unique individuals trying to live together under one roof and in one accord. This book is intended to be a blue print for a successful marriage. It is my heart desire to see married couples succeed. I have seen too many marriages failed in my life time. I have noticed several married couples struggle in their marriage even though both parties are good people. I have watched too many good people get hurt in their relationship and I have seen lives being messed up as a result of marriage failure. My natural instinct is to recognize the problem and fashion a solution to make our world a better place. That is why I am provoked to write this book. I am not a stranger to the marriage institution. I have been married for twenty four years and I have had my own share of marital challenges. More so, I am a Pastor and a Lawyer. In that capacity, I have conducted many marriage ceremonies, I have been a marriage counselor to hundreds of married couples and I have represented many people on marriage matters in the court room. In short, I have seen it all. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. Frankly, I am sick and tired of seeing too many people get hurt in their marriage and I really want to help. That is exactly what this book is all about. If you are looking for a practical, relevant and blunt book about marriage, this is it.

Book Synopsis Formula for a Successful Marriage by : Desiree Andrews
Download or read book Formula for a Successful Marriage written by Desiree Andrews and published by . This book was released on 2017-05-18 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Formula for a Successful Marriage" is a blueprint to build a solid foundation for your marriage. Discussed are essential elements needed to achieve a harmonious marriage. The formula was conceived by the Holy Spirit and given to Pastor DesireE Andrews to pass on to those seeking to improve or maintain a God-filled, God-ordained, successful marriage. In this book, you will discover the essential ingredients to accomplish just that. The formula, C4H2L, is comprised of four parts C--commitment, communication, companionship, and copulation; two parts H--honesty and hugs; and one part L--love, all of which are necessary for a fruitful marriage. God ordained marriage and intended for it to be a blessed union between one man and one woman. Society today has all but outlawed what constitutes a successful marriage from God's perspective. The implementation of this formula builds back that which was lost. With two things being a given in marriage, God and prayer, the C4H2L formula acts to bind the husband and wife together in marriage. Many marriages fail because one thing or another is neglected and goes lacking for extended periods of time. Society says it's okay to give up on your marriage and go be with someone else, but the Word tells us what God has joined together let no man put asunder. The formula, therefore, aids in keeping things in balance to ensure nothing is overlooked, nothing is neglected, nothing is lacking. It is not a cure-all solution but are the building blocks needed for a successful marriage. If we hold to the biblical principles established from the beginning of time we do well in maintaining and improving the marital relationship. If we do it God's way, we will succeed. This book will help identify that which was from the beginning and guide the reader to a meaningful, healthy, and successful marriage.

Book Synopsis The Marriage Builder by : Larry Crabb
Download or read book The Marriage Builder written by Larry Crabb and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2009-08-08 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychologist Larry Crabb cuts to the heart of the biblical view of marriage: the 'one-flesh' relationship. He argues convincingly that the deepest needs of human personality -- security and significance -- ultimately cannot be satisfied by a marriage partner. We need to turn to the Lord, rather than our spouse, to satisfy our needs. This frees both partners for 'soul oneness,' a commitment to minister to our spouse's needs rather than manipulating them to meet our own needs. With 'soul oneness' comes renewed 'body oneness,' where couples enjoy sexual pleasure as an expression and outgrowth of a personal relationship. The Marriage Builder also identifies three building blocks essential to constructing marriage: the grace of God, true marriage commitment, and acceptance of one's mate. Now for the first time, discussion questions have been added to aid couples who want to come to deeper understanding of marriage. Helpful to counselors and laypersons alike, The Marriage Builder is for anyone who longs to transform marriage from trial to triumph.
