Allein zwischen 2006 und 2009 ist der Anteil an vorzeitigen Renteneintritten aufgrund psychischer Erkrankungen um 5% auf 38% gestiegen (vgl. Dragano/Kroll/Muters 2011: 5). In Anbetracht der dargelegten demographischen Prognose ist ein derartiger Ausfall an Arbeitskraften weder fur die Unternehmen noch fur die Gesellschaft tragbar. Setzt man nun die aufgefuhrten gesellschaftlichen und arbeitsspezifischen Entwicklungen in Zusammenhang, ergibt sich ein Bedarf an moglichst hochqualifizierten Erwerbstatigen, die sich einerseits den veranderten Anforderungsprofilen anpassen und andererseits den gegebenen Arbeitsbedingungen in der Weise gewachsen sind, dass weder ihre Arbeitsleistung, noch ihre personliche Gesundheit eingeschrankt wird. Die sich daraus ergebenden zentralen Faktoren sind das Bildungsniveau und die Arbeitsbelastungen. Aufgrund der Aktualitat und Brisanz der Thematik ist eine Zusammenfuhrung dieser Faktoren besonders aus erziehungswissenschaftlicher Sicht von Interesse, da eine solche Untersuchung bisher kaum unternommen wurde. Dies zeigt auch die hierzu sparlich vorhandene padagogische Literatur. Daher soll das Thema vorliegender Magisterarbeit der Zusammenhang von Bildung und Arbeitsbelastungen, und die daraus resultierenden Folgen sein. Die fokussierte Fragestellung ist dabei, welchen Einfluss Bildung auf das Erleben von und den Umgang mit belastenden Arbeitsanforderungen hat.
