FH Koblenz) (Sozialwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Vernetzung und Kooperation, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Mit Hilfe dieser Arbeit wird die Frage beantwortet, welchen positiven Beitrag frühkindliche Bildungseinrichtungen und im Speziellen Kitas zur familiären Vernetzung im unmittelbaren Sozialraum leisten können. Kitas stellen häufig die erste öffentliche Instanz dar, in der sich Kinder und Familien begegnen. Sie sind Kristallisationspunkt für die unterschiedlichen Lebenslagen und -formen der Familien. Eltern und die damit zusammenhängenden Familienstrukturen sind sehr vielfältig und Kitas müssen den Anspruch haben, dieser Vielfalt konzeptionell und zum Wohle aller Beteiligten zu nutzen. Entscheidend ist die Frage, wie sie Erwachsene dabei unterstützen können, dass aus den Kindern Persönlichkeiten werden. Ohne gelingende Netzwerkstrukturen und dem Einbezug der Möglichkeiten und direkten Herausforderungen des Umfeldes wird es zunehmend schwieriger, den Bildungs-, Betreuungs- und Erziehungsauftrag sowie der damit einhergehenden Unterstützung der Familien in qualitativ hochwertiger Weise gerecht zu werden. Bereits im Jahr 1994 wies das Deutsche Jugendinstitut im Zuge des Modellprojektes „Orte für Kinder“ auf die Wege der Öffnung von Kindertagesstätten zu den Familien hin. Dabei ging es vor allem um die Verknüpfung der frühpädagogischen Förderung mit einer Familienselbsthilfe in aktiven Gruppen. Wenn Politiker die Öffnung der Kitas in Richtung familienzentrierter Angebotsformen proklamieren, welche die Institutionen zu Orten des Lernens für gleichsam Kinder und Familien machen, an welchen Eltern auf Gleichgesinnte treffen und Dienstleitungen in Anspruch nehmen, müssen die Potenziale, die in den Einrichtungen hinsichtlich des Aufbaus von Netzwerken stecken, genauer untersucht werden. Zu Beginn wird die Thematik kontextualisiert und relevante Begriffe geklärt. Nachdem im Anschluss daran die Bedeutung der sozialräumlichen Orientierung erörtert wird, widmet sich der Hauptteil der Arbeit den Potenzialen der familiären Vernetzung, um anschließend daran die Kita als bedeutsamen Ort zur Unterstützung elterlicher, bzw. familiärer Vernetzung herauszustellen. Hierzu werden zwei praktische Umsetzungsformen genauer beleuchtet. Danach werden etwaige Grenzen benannt sowie Faktoren, die zu einer gelungenen Vernetzung von Eltern, unter dem Einfluss professioneller Einrichtungen und Fachkräfte im frühpädagogischen Bereich, beitragen, dargelegt. Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse im Fazit zusammengefasst, kritisch gewürdigt und mögliche Handlungsausblicke gegeben.

Book excerpt: Our Unsustainable Life: Why We Can't Have Everything We Want With the concept of the Imperial Mode of Living, Brand and Wissen highlight the fact that capitalism implies uneven development as well as a constant and accelerating universalisation of a Western mode of production and living. The logic of liberal markets since the 19thCentury, and especially since World War II, has been inscribed into everyday practices that are usually unconsciously reproduced. The authors show that they are a main driver of the ecological crisis and economic and political instability. The Imperial Mode of Living implies that people's everyday practices, including individual and societal orientations, as well as identities, rely heavily on the unlimited appropriation of resources; a disproportionate claim on global and local ecosystems and sinks; and cheap labour from elsewhere. This availability of commodities is largely organised through the world market, backed by military force and/or the asymmetric relations of forces as they have been inscribed in international institutions. Moreover, the Imperial Mode of Living implies asymmetrical social relations along class, gender and race within the respective countries. Here too, it is driven by the capitalist accumulation imperative, growth-oriented state policies and status consumption. The concrete production conditions of commodities are rendered invisible in the places where the commodities are consumed. The imperialist world order is normalized through the mode of production and living.

Instead of this, a game theoretic approach is used to model family decisions as a result of intrafamily bargaining. Considering the development of the spouses` human capital in a dynamic approach, the long-term effects of intrafamily specialization in market work and work at home are analyzed. Onemajor finding is that in a dynamic setting non-Pareto efficient allocations may result. Empirical tests demonstrate the relevanace of the bargaining approach.
