Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The factuality of historical events presented in the narrative during the development phase of the revolutionary state after the lost First World War focuses on the terrorist mischief of the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and the consequences of his terrorist actions. Murder as the unconditional method of seizing power, expanding it and maintaining it, not only led to the downfall of the state, but also to a lasting shock effect on the souls of the people in the completely destroyed country, who accused themselves of cheating by supporting the Nazis great guilt and joint responsibility, should put up with. In fact, Verena made a common cause when she cooperated with the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and - albeit terroristically - worked preventively towards their goals, which were actually goals of the police. But she only worked indirectly for the federal prosecutor, especially not when she shot him. Should intrigues lead to action, so that the criminally acting policeman got out of the focus of the federal prosecutor's office and thus that of the initiated federal prosecutor? Did she take money for the triple murder in Karlsruhe? Her actions disappear in the inscrutable mysticism of a compulsive and foolhardy soldier of the Red Army Faction, as if she wanted to rise to the rank of great world savior, very much like Hitler, if she didn't shoot the general but saved the people from him because he be a Nazi? Was she an agent of secret services and influential world politicians? Verena leaves the pressing questions unanswered and cloaks herself in silence. If Kette believes it from her, then he should prove it to the court. In this narrative, he reveals facts and backgrounds with his plea, which contribute significantly to clarifying the facts.

Book Synopsis Butterfly Economics by : Paul Ormerod
Download or read book Butterfly Economics written by Paul Ormerod and published by Pantheon. This book was released on 2012-05-23 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why did VHS, an inferior video recording technology, succeed in the marketplace, driving the superior Betamax out of business? Why do big-budget, acclaimed movies sometimes flop at the box office, while low-budget, idiosyncratic films become huge hits? The answers to these questions, says Paul Omerod, remind us that economics is a science based on the workings of human society, as unpredictable an entity as there is. "Conventional economics is mistaken," claimes Omerod, "when it views the economy as a machine, whose behavior, no matter how complicated, is ultimately predictable and controllable." In this cogently and elegantly argued analysis of why human beings persist in engaging in behavior that defies time-honored economic theory, Omerod also explains why governments and industries throughout the world must completely reconfigure their traditional methods of economic forecasting if they are to succeed and prosper in an increasingly global marketplace.

If you are ready to experience emotions without consuming them or being consumed by them, the mindfulness, acceptance, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills in End Emotional Eating can help. This book does not focus on what or how to eat—rather, these scientifically supported skills will teach you how to manage emotions and urges gracefully, live in the present moment, learn from your feelings, and cope with distress skillfully. This book has been awarded The Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Self-Help Seal of Merit — an award bestowed on outstanding self-help books that are consistent with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles and that incorporate scientifically tested strategies for overcoming mental health difficulties. Used alone or in conjunction with therapy, our books offer powerful tools readers can use to jump-start changes in their lives.

Book Synopsis The Intersection of Material and Poetic Economy by : Anna Helm
Download or read book The Intersection of Material and Poetic Economy written by Anna Helm and published by Peter Lang. This book was released on 2009 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work explores the intersection of the material and poetic economies in Soll und Haben and Der Nachsommer. It demonstrates how the main poetical strategies of the two novels, dichotomization (Soll und Haben) and total economization (Der Nachsommer), are defined by economic themes, structures, and forms. The «economopoetics» of the novels, i.e. the multitude of connections between economics and aesthetics, pervades the texts on three different levels: as content, as representational model, and as literary strategy. Although very different in their treatment of topics relating to business and economics, both novels are driven by narratives parsed with economic expression. The diverging patterns of economopoetics support central commentaries on their underlying realist aesthetics. One important finding is that, in spite of money's apparent absence from the core content of some literary texts, economic relations are inherent in the narrative structure of those texts. The book shows that economopoetics is relevant not only to any extant literature which attempts explicitly to thematize business and economics (such as Soll und Haben), but also to that which does not (such as Der Nachsommer). Economic organizing principles are pervasive signatures of the novel's aesthetic.
