Download or read book APPROCHES MICROSCOPIQUES DE LA PROPAGATION DES ONDES DANS LES MILIEUX COMPLEXES written by LIAN-JIE.. HUANG and published by . This book was released on 1994 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LES EQUATIONS D'ONDES ACOUSTIQUES OU ELASTIQUES, C'EST A DIRE LES EQUATIONS AUX DERIVEES PARTIELLES QUI DECRIVENT LE COMPORTEMENT DES ONDES DANS LES MILIEUX CONTINUS SONT EN GENERAL RESOLUES NUMERIQUEMENT POUR UN CHAMP D'ONDES CONTINU A INTERVALLES DE TEMPS DISCRETS, DANS UN ESPACE DISCRET, EN UTILISANT DES EQUATIONS AUX DIFFERENCES FINIES, POUR ETUDIER LES PHENOMENES ASSOCIES AUX ONDES PAR UNE SIMULATION SUR ORDINATEUR. IL EST DIFFICILE POUR LES METHODES DE DIFFERENCES FINIES DE SIMULER LA PROPAGATION D'ONDES DANS UN MILIEU FORTEMENT HETEROGENE ET COMPLEXE, A CAUSE DE LA COMPLEXITE GEOMETRIQUE ET/OU A CAUSE DES INTERFACES A FORT CONTRASTES DANS UN MILIEU AUX PROPRIETES PHYSIQUES VARIEES. LE PRINCIPAL OBJECTIF DE CETTE THESE EST DE DEVELOPPER DES METHODES MICROSCOPIQUES DANS UN ESPACE DISCRET, AVEC UN TEMPS ET DES CHAMPS D'ONDE EUX-MEMES DISCRETISES. GRACE A CES METHODES, LA SIMULATION DES PHENOMENES D'ONDES DANS DES MILIEUX COMPLEXES SANS APPROXIMATIONS ESSENTIELLES EST POSSIBLE. COMME PREMIERE APPROCHE A LA PROPAGATION DES ONDES P DANS UN MILIEU HETEROGENE, LE SOLIDE PHONONIQUE SUR RESEAU PAR INTERPOLATION EST DEVELOPPE DANS LE CHAPITRE 2 DANS LE BUT DE MODELISER DIRECTEMENT LE COMPORTEMENT DES NOMBRES DE DENSITE DE QUASI-PARTICULES (QUI TRANSPORTENT LA PRESSION) SUR UN MAILLAGE DISCRET, PLUTOT QUE DE RESOUDRE L'EQUATION D'ONDE MACROSCOPIQUE CORRESPONDANTE PAR DIFFERENCES FINIES. L'ANALYSE THEORIQUE DEMONTRE QUE DANS LA LIMITE MACROSCOPIQUE, LA METHODE MODELISE L'EQUATION D'ONDES ACOUSTIQUES POUR UN MILIEU HETEROGENE A N-DIMENSIONS (N=1, 2, 3). ELLE EST COMPARABLE AUX GAZ SUR RESEAU DANS LESQUELS LES ERREURS DUES AUX DIFFERENCES FINIES SONT ABSENTES, MAIS MODELISE LES PHENOMENES D'ONDES DANS DES MILIEUX HETEROGENES PLUTOT QU'UN FLUX DE FLUIDE ET D'ONDES ACOUSTIQUES DANS UN GAZ A MODULE DE COMPRESSIBILITE CONSTANTE. UNE CONDITION DE BORD ABSORBANT ET QUATRE MODELES DE REFLEXION SUR SURFACE LIBRE UTILISES DANS LE SOLIDE PHONONIQUE SUR RESEAU PAR INTERPOLATION SONT P ROPOSES DANS LE CHAPITRE 3. PUISQUE LA METHODE PERMET DE TENIR COMPTE D'INTERFACES A FORT CONTRASTES EN UN POINT QUELCONQUE DE LA GRILLE, CELLE-CI A ETE UTILISEE POUR SIMULER LA PROPAGATION D'ONDES DANS UN MILIEU FINEMENT STRATIFIE ET FRACTURE AUSSI BIEN QUE DANS UN MILIEU AVEC DES PORES VIDES. LES PROPRIETES D'ANISOTROPIE D'UN MILIEU FINEMENT STRATIFIE ET D'UN MILIEU FRACTURE ISOTROPIQUE ONT AINSI ETE OBSERVEES. CES RESULTATS SONT DECRITS AU CHAPITRE 4. LES MOUVEMENTS DES SITES DE LA GRILLE (C'EST A DIRE LES DEFORMATIONS) CAUSES PAR LE PASSAGE D'UNE ONDE MACROSCOPIQUE SONT PARTICULIEREMENT IMPORTANTS POUR UN MILIEU DONT LES PORES SONT REMPLIS DE FLUIDE, ETANT DONNE QUE LES INTERACTIONS NON-LINEAIRES ENTRE SOLIDES ET FLUIDES SONT SUPPOSEES JOUER UN ROLE IMPORTANT DANS LES MECANISMES D'ATTENUATION. LES MOUVEMENTS DES SITES DE LA GRILLE ONT ETE PRIS EN COMPTE POUR LE SOLIDE PHONONIQUE SUR RESEAU PAR INTERPOLATION ET L'APPROCHE EST APPELEE LE SOLIDE PHONONIQUE SUR RESEAU AVEC FLUIDES, PARCE QU'IL POURRAIT APPORTER UNE MEILLEURE COMPREHENSION DE L'EFFET DE L'INTERACTION ENTRE FLUIDE ET SOLIDE DANS LES PROBLEMES DE PROPAGATION D'ONDES. LA LIMITE MACROSCOPIQUE DE L'EQUATION DE TRANSPORT DU TYPE BOLTZMANN POUR CETTE METHODE MICROSCOPIQUE ABOUTIT A L'EQUATION D'ONDES ACOUSTIQUES POUR UN MILIEU HETEROGENE, MODIFIEE PAR DES TERMES DE CISAILLEMENT, DE MODULE DE VISCOSITE AINSI QUE PAR LE TERME DE SECOND ORDRE DANS LA VITESSE MACROSCOPIQUE ET DES TERMES NON-LINEAIRES ADDITIONNELS DUS AUX MOUVEMENTS DES SITES DE LA GRILLE. LA METHODE A ETE UTILISEE POUR ETUDIER L'ATTENUATION DE LA PROPAGATION D'ONDES DANS UN MILIEU AVEC DES PORES REMPLIS DE FLUIDE, ATTENUATION PROVOQUEE PAR LA VISCOSITE DES FLUIDES, PAR LA DIFFUSION DES HETEROGENEITES ET LE MOUVEMENT DES PARTICULES DU MILIEU INDUIT PAR LE PASSAGE D'UNE ONDE MACROSCOPIQUE. LA THEORIE QUI CONCERNE CETTE METHODE ET LES RESULTATS NUMERIQUES SONT DECRITS AU CHAPITRE 5. LE CHAPITRE 6 ABORDE LES PROBLEMES DE LA LIMITATION DE LA RESOLUTION ET DE LA DISTORSION DES IMAGES OBTENUES PAR UNE TOMOGRAPHIE A DIFFRACTION MONO-FREQUENTIELLE. LA TOMOGRAPHIE A RETRO-DIFFUSION MULTIFREQUENTIELLE SUR UN FOND QUI VARIE VERTICALEMENT A ETE DEVELOPPEE POUR AMELIORER HAUTEMENT LA RESOLUTION ET LA QUALITE DES IMAGES. LA VITESSE DES CALCULS DE LA METHODE EST DE LOIN SUPERIEURE A CELLE DES AUTRES METHODES MULTIFREQUENTIELLES, COMME L'HOLOGRAPHIE MULTIFREQUENTIELLE OU LA MIGRATION AVANT-SOMMATION

Book Synopsis Topics in Kinetic Theory by : Thierry Passot
Download or read book Topics in Kinetic Theory written by Thierry Passot and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2005 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book covers a variety of topics related to kinetic theory in neutral gases and magnetized plasmas, with extensions to other systems such as quantum plasmas and granular flows. A comprehensive presentation is given for the Boltzmann equations and other kinetic equations for a neutral gas, together with the derivations of compressible and incompressible fluid dynamical systems, and their rigorous justification. Several contributions are devoted to collisionless magnetized plasmas. Rigorous results concerning the well-posedness of the Vlasov-Maxwell system are presented. Special interest is devoted to asymptotic regimes where the scales of variation of the electromagnetic field are clearly separated from those associated with the gyromotion of the particles. This volume collects lectures given at the Short Course and Workshop on Kinetic Theory organized at the Fields Institute of Mathematical Sciences in Toronto during the Spring of 2004.

This book was released on 2018-05-08 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ocean covers 70 percent of the Earth’s surface, and is essential for life on our planet – even for those of us who live nowhere near the sea! It provides us all with food and other materials that we need, regulates our climate and provides half of the oxygen we breathe. The ocean also offers us various means of transport and opportunities for recreation. People have long thought that the ocean was so wide and bountiful that it would go on supplying our needs forever, but this is not the case: human activities are causing significant damage to life in the ocean. People are often unaware of the problems created by this heavy reliance, as few of us have the opportunity to look beneath the surface of the sea and see the damage that our actions have caused. This is where the Ocean Challenge Badge comes in: let it take you on a journey to discover the ocean! It is packed with activities to help you learn about how the ocean works, the creatures that live in it, and just how important it is in our everyday lives. You will also discover how YOU can play a role in protecting our ocean for future generations. We hope you will be inspired to take the challenge and celebrate our ocean. So dive in and begin your aquatic discoveries!
