In un saggio che convoglia la ricchissima ricognizione del passato verso l’autocomprensione del presente, l’unico presupposto irrinunciabile è la consapevolezza che non esiste un unico, riduttivo concetto di uomo. A questo riguardo, il gioco delle analogie e delle differenze costituisce un fondamentale correttivo nei confronti di una globalizzazione uniformatrice.
