For this purpose, the following will be subdivided into two main parts. The first one will be an introductory part in which every tool and term that is to be used will be spelled out. The first chapter is going to deal with ‘truth values’ and ‘truth conditions’. The terms ‘truth condition’ and ‘truth value’, as well as the meaning of ‘priori’ and ‘posteriori’ truth are going to be pointed out in order to show the relations of the theory of ‘truth’ with the ones of ‘entailment’ and ‘presupposition’. The second chapter is going to analyze ‘presuppositions’ and its main ideas. For this purpose, the chapter is going to begin with a proper definition of this theory. It is to be pointed out what ‘presuppositions’ are, how they are used and how the many possible ‘presuppositions’ can be distinguished from one another in general by their triggers. In order to do so, this is going to be followed by an explanatory part about ‘presupposition triggers’, including which these triggers are and how they are used, as well as some examples. The third chapter is going to examine the semantic theory of ‘entailment’ and its main ideas. At first, it will be pointed out what ‘entailment’ means by using a truth-based definition by John I. Saeed. In order to explain how this semantic theory works, this paragraph will also include some examples, as well as a short excurse to ‘hyponymy’, since this is a regular source for entailment between sentences. Furthermore, the so called ‘truth table’ will be introduced in order to improve the accessibility of the theory by visualizing it. The second part is going to be the analysis of some selected passages of Isaac Marion’s novel Warm Bodies in terms of the above named aspects, in which the usage and effect of presupposition and entailment in this context will be pointed out.

This work has set itself the goal of analyzing the ROPO effect (research online, purchase offline) in the process of purchasing agricultural insurance products in Germany. The ROPO effect comes into play when customers check on the Internet before they make the purchase offline. The research includes the specifics of the product called "insurance" and the age structure of German farmers. Market studies of the ROPO effect in private insurances from 2012 have been analysed in order to obtain an up-to-date overview of the extent of the ROPO effect. The work is based on a quantitative analysis which is carried out by means of a telephone interview with 140 operations managers of German farms. It involves particular research of the buying behaviour and age of the farmers. The ROPO rate of German farmers amounts to 47.1%. The process of purchasing an insurance product can be considered as being related to the age of those seeking to purchase insurance. In comparison with older farmers, younger farmers increasingly search for information online in the preliminary stage prior to concluding a transaction of insurance. Overall, the results obtained lead to the conclusion that the Internet has a great influence on the decisions to purchase agricultural, insurances, and that this tendency will increase as agriculture passes from older to younger generations of farmers.

We are encouraged to over-consume by the marketing and media that surround us and then berated by those same forces for doing so. The spiritual realm is not immune from these pressures, as can be seen in the flourishing of biblically and faith based weight loss programs that encourage women to lose weight physically and gain spiritually. Isherwood examines this environment in light of Christian tradition, which has often had a difficult relationship with sexuality and embodiment and which has promoted ideals of restraint and asceticism. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The obvious riddles and difficulties in Exod 3:13–15 and Exod 6:2–8 have attracted an overwhelming amount of attention and comment. These texts make important theological statements about the divine name YHWH and the contours of the divine character. From the enigmatic statements in Exod 3:13–15, most scholars reconstruct the original form of the name as “Yahweh,” which is thought to describe YHWH’s creative power or self-existence. Similarly, Exod 6:3 has become a classic proof-text for the Documentary Hypothesis and an indication of different aspects of God’s character as shown in history. Despite their seeming importance for “defining” the divine name, these texts are ancillary to and preparatory for the true revelation of the divine name in the book of Exodus. This book attempts to move beyond atomistic readings of individual texts and etymological studies of the divine name toward a holistic reading of the book of Exodus. Surls centers his argument around in-depth analyses of Exod 3:13–15, 6:2–8 and Exod 33:12–23 and 34:5–8. Consequently, the definitive proclamation of YHWH’s character is not given at the burning bush but in response to Moses’ later intercession (Exod 33:12–23). YHWH proclaimed his name in a formulaic manner that Israel could appropriate (Exod 34:6–7), and the Hebrew Bible quotes or alludes to this text in many genres. This demonstrates the centrality of Exod 34:6–7 to Old Testament Theology. The character of God cannot be discerned from an etymological analysis of the word yhwh but from a close study of YHWH’s deliberate ascriptions made progressively in the book of Exodus.
