Book Synopsis Dave Funk's Tube Amp Workbook by : Dave Funk
Download or read book Dave Funk's Tube Amp Workbook written by Dave Funk and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2014-05-30 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most musicians would like to understand how their amplifiers work. For reason to either get a better tone, explain that tone to their serviceman, prevent an amplifier from failing on stage, perform a quick-fix on the job, do their own maintenance, maybe even start their own repair or custom amp business. This book is intended to provide an actual Workbook that can be opened up on your workbench and used to study, service, or modify tube amps. The book is laid out in a "cadence" of schematic on top, with the appropriate layout underneath. This allows you to see both drawings at the same time. It also means that some pages are intentionally left blank, so as to not break the "cadence." These pages can be used for note taking. After all, this book is meant to be used. Contained in the chapters are reference pages for Jensen Speakers, Fender Transformers, and Accutronics Reverbs.

Book Synopsis Resurrection, Hell and the Afterlife by : Mark Finney
Download or read book Resurrection, Hell and the Afterlife written by Mark Finney and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-02-22 with total page 264 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book begins by arguing that early Greek reflection on the afterlife and immortality insisted on the importance of the physical body whereas a wealth of Jewish texts from the Hebrew Bible, Second Temple Judaism and early (Pauline) Christianity understood post-mortem existence to be that of the soul alone. Changes begin to appear in the later New Testament where the importance of the afterlife of the physical body became essential, and such thoughts continued into the period of the early Church where the significance of the physical body in post-mortem existence became a point of theological orthodoxy. This book will assert that the influx of Greco-Romans into the early Church changed the direction of Christian thought towards one which included the body. At the same time, the ideological and polemical thrust of an eternal tortuous afterlife for the wicked became essential.
Book Synopsis Agnes Macphail and the Politics of Equality by : Terence Allan Crowley
Download or read book Agnes Macphail and the Politics of Equality written by Terence Allan Crowley and published by James Lorimer & Company. This book was released on 1990 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Passing years have only added new lustre to the figure of Agnes Macphail, Canada’s first woman MP. In this biography, Terry Crowley offers a heroine for our times with the depiction of Macphail the accomplished politician, the committed feminist and the complex, well-rounded witty human being. A democratic populist who emerged politically during the post-World War One farmers’ revolt, Macphail helped build the alliance that became the CCF party and ended the two major parties’ total domination of national political life. She later served the CCF as Ontario’s first woman MPP. In all her activities Macphail was an outspoken advocate of equality and human rights. She worked tirelessly to win recognition of women’s rights, to reform the nation’s penal system and to secure international peace. She pressed for controls on lobbying and for disclosure of business influences on the media. Strong convictions, openness to fresh ideas and devotion to democratic values were Macphail’s distinguishing characteristics."--Page 4 of cover.
Book Synopsis CMOS Current Amplifiers by : Giuseppe Palmisano
Download or read book CMOS Current Amplifiers written by Giuseppe Palmisano and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 171 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CMOS Current Amplifiers presents design strategies for high performance current amplifiers based on CMOS technology. After an introduction to various architectures of operational amplifiers, the operating principles of the current amplifier are outlined. This book provides the reader with simple and compact design equations for use in a pencil and paper design and the following simulation step. Chapter 1 introduces the general aspects of current amplifiers. After a preliminary classification of operational amplifiers, ideal blocks and models are discussed for different architectures and a first high-level comparison is made between traditional amplifiers and current amplifiers. Analysis and examples of basic circuits, as well as signal processing applications involving current amplifiers, are also given. Non-idealities and second- order effects causing limitations in performance are then discussed and evaluated. Chapter 2 focuses on low-drive current amplifiers. Several design examples for current conveyors and class A current amplifiers are discussed in detail and design equations are presented for the main performance parameters, which allows a good trade-off between requirements. High-performance solutions for high bandwidth and low voltage capability are also considered, and, finally, current comparators with progressively enhanced performance are reported and analyzed critically. Chapter 3 deals with current amplifiers for off-chip loads. Several class AB current-mode output stages are discussed and design strategies which improve performance are presented. A detailed analysis of non-ideal effect is carried out with particular emphasis on linearity. Design examples are given and circuit arrangements for further developments are included. CMOS Current Amplifiers serves as an excellent reference for researchers and professionals of analog IC design, and may also be used as an advanced text on current amplifiers.
