Pour ce faire, un processus de validation a été déroulé, de l’initiation d’une demande de changement à la clôture de celle-ci, en passant par la réalisation d’essais sur un procédé validé, d’une étude de faisabilité, d’une analyse de risque et d’une validation à proprement parler aboutissant à la rédaction d’un rapport de validation. Ainsi, le suivi en temps réel des opérations de mélange par proche infrarouge a permis de valider les modifications envisagées en apportant une meilleure compréhension, et par conséquent une maîtrise complète des procédés de fabrication considérés.

Les moyens utilisés actuellement pour évaluer l'efficacité de cette étape, ne sont pas satisfaisants, à cause du biais qu'ils apportent. Par conséquent, une méthode alternative se développe dans l'industrie pharmaceutique, sous l'impulsion de la Food and drug administration : la démarche "Process analytical technology", qui permet de suivre en ligne et en temps réel le mélange. Plusieurs technologies peuvent être utilisées pour effectuer ce suivi, dont la spectroscopie proche infra rouge (PIR). Nous avons testé deux spectromètres, Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter et à barrette de diodes, permettant d'acquérir des spectres PIR caractéristiques de l'état du mélange. Nous avons comparé ces deux matériels et évalué le point d'arrêt sur un mélange avec une faible concentration en principe actif. Au contraire, l'étude d'un mélange avec deux constituants de structure chimique proche n'a pas permis de déterminer l'atteinte de l'homogénéité. Enfin, le suivi d'un mélange non critique a montré que la combinaison de différents traitements appliqués sur les spectres obtenus, semblait la solution la plus intéressante pour connaître le point d'arrêt. Une étude approfondie permettrait d'évaluer la significativité des résultats obtenus.

L'objectif est donc d'améliorer la capabilité de l'humidité résiduelle des produits d'un atelier de granulation humide. Pour cela, nous nous sommes appuyée sur la méthodologie Lean Six Sigma pour réaliser ce projet. Cette mise en place rentre également dans une démarche de Quality by Design, puisque le but est d'explorer les caractéristiques de la poudre, de mieux connaître le procédé de séchage en l'explorant aux limites et en identifiant ses paramètres critiques.

Malgré un contrôle qualité établi depuis plusieurs années sur la production laitière, il manquait a la procédure un appareil effectuant les dosages in situ en temps réel des matières grasses et des protéines pendant la traite. Nous avons donc développe a cet effet un analyseur base sur la spectroscopie proche infrarouge respectant un cahier des charges adapte au milieu de l'étable. Notre objectif était de valider chaque étape du développement de l'instrumentation par des résultats issus de la chimiométrie. Une attention particulière a été portée sur la sonde optique qui s'est vite révélée être la clef de voûte de cet analyseur. Les prédictions des modèles développes par la méthode pls nous ont permis de retenir une sonde basée sur la réflexion sur un support diffusant. La dernière partie de cette recherche est consacrée au transfert de calibration. En fait, l'utilisation des régressions multivariées en spectroscopie a fait apparaître deux problèmes. Le premier est le transfert de l'équation de calibration d'un appareil au laboratoire de recherche vers un ou plusieurs analyseurs en ligne sur le process. Le deuxième problème survient lorsque les caractéristiques d'un appareil varient au cours du temps. Dans ces deux cas, la réponse spectrale change et l'utilisation de la calibration initialement développée nécessite une correction. L'objectif de cette deuxième partie était l'étude systématique des algorithmes de transfert appliques a des données spectrales synthétiques. Le potentiel de la standardisation a été démontre pour le transfert de calibration sur l'analyseur de lait.

Pollen grains are powerful tools for the study of past vegetation dynamics because they preserve well within sedimentary deposits and have a huge diversity in ornamentation that allows different taxa to be determined. The reconstruction of past vegetation from the examination of ancient pollen records thus can be used to characterize the nature of past landscapes (e.g. abundance of forests vs. grasslands), provide insights into changes in biodiversity, and gain empirical evidence of vegetation response to climatic change and human activity. In this, the 35th Volume of "Palaeoecology of Africa", we bring together new data and extensive synthetic reviews to provide novel insights into the relationships between human evolution, human activity, climate change and vegetation dynamics during the Quaternary, the last 2.6 million years. Current and ongoing climate and land-use change is exerting pressure on modern vegetation formations and threatening the livelihoods and wellbeing of many peoples in Africa. In this book the focus is on the Quaternary because it is during this geological period that the modern vegetation formations developed into their current configurations against a backdrop of high magnitude global climate change (glacial-interglacial cycles), human evolution, and a growing human land-use footprint. In this book the latest information is presented and collated from around the African continent to parameterize past vegetation states, identify the drivers of vegetation change, and assess the vegetation resilience to change. To achieve this research from two broad themes are covered: (i) the present is the key to the past (i.e. studies which improve our understanding of modern environments so that we can better interpret evidence from the past), and (ii) the past is the key to the future (i.e. studies which unlock information on how and why vegetation changed in the past so one can better anticipate trajectories of future change). This Open Access book will provide a strong foundation for future research exploring past ecological, environmental and climatic change within Africa and the surrounding islands. The book is organized regionally (covering western, eastern, central, and southern Africa) and it contains specialized articles focused on particular topics (such as modern pollen-vegetation relationships and fire as a driver of vegetation change), as well as regional and pan-African syntheses drawing together decades of research to assess key scientific questions (including the role of climate in driving vegetation change and the role of vegetation change in human evolution).
