Apres sulfuration, les catalyseurs prepares par impregnation presentent une activite en hydrodesulfuration 65% plus importante que celle d'un catalyseur industriel de reference. Parmi les deux series de solides impregnes, celle possedant la plus basse teneur en mo (10% en masse) semble etre constituee d'une phase active particuliere en faible interaction avec le support. C'est cette particularite qui expliquerait l'evolution de l'activite qui croit en fonction de la teneur en cobalt alors que pour des catalyseurs dits classiques, on obtient une courbe en volcan avec un maximum pour r = co / co + mo compris entre 0,25 et 0,30. La formulation retenue est un catalyseur impregne avec r = 0,4 et 10% en masse de mo. Afin de limiter l'hydrogenation des molecules insaturees et d'introduire une fonction isomerisante, pour la preservation de l'indice d'octane de la charge petroliere traitee qui sera utilisee comme carburant, du bore a ete introduit lors de la synthese sol-gel de l'alumine. Un modele de structure des solides b - al#2o#3 seches et calcines est propose. Il rend compte des resultats de resonance magnetique nucleaire obtenus par simulations des spectres. Ce modele est conforte par des analyses elementaires, des mesures de surfaces specifiques, la spx et la drx. Les solides ainsi obtenus ont ete testes en hydrodesulfuration du thiophene en presence de pent-1-ene. Si l'hydrogenation diminue de maniere notable, l'isomerisation n'est que tres moderement augmentee par rapport a d'autres formulations testees dans le cadre de ce projet.
