Born into humble beginnings, he showed the power of words and their ability to speak things which aren’t as though they already existed. His mission was to transform the world with words. He demonstrated his perfection in framing words throughout his earthly ministry, and he’s the prime example of how to live a victorious life and invoke mastery over Satan by confession of faith. In Adopt the Jesus Mindset, author M. R. Roberson explores the key principles that Christians must embrace to espouse the same attitude as Jesus. Through a host of scriptural examples, he encourages followers of Christ to strive for mastery and excellence in pronouncing only what the father has spoken in their regard, thereby demonstrating Bible faith. Adopt the Jesus Mindset offers a motivational, self-help guide to victorious living, inspiring believers to embrace the mindset of Jesus in becoming imitators of God.

Book excerpt: A companion book to Volume 1, Adopt the Jesus Mindset Volume 2 is certain to captivate more readers to the insight, vision, and perception of the greatest transformational leader of all time. Volume 2 is a must-read and will serve to inspire readers young and old to live, act, and think like their Savior and become all God envisioned them to be. The Scripture verses woven throughout are quotes from Jesus' actual words as recorded in the Four Gospels by His faithful followers. Readers will grasp the firsthand account of the Mindset of Jesus from a fresh perspective. Additionally, bibliophiles are invited to witness how Jesus exercised authority over adverse circumstance with the power of God's spoken Word combined with the force of faith. Throughout the New Testament Jesus urges persons at large to "Follow Me." For the record, "wise men and women still follow Him. Pursuers will see why Jesus was and is unstoppable and how He is still equipping unstoppable followers and arming them today as "New Creation Super Persons." Jesus challenged His followers then as He does now with the following admonition, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father" (John 14:12, NIV). Additionally, as Jesus' mother, Mary stated, "Do whatever he tells you" (John 2:5, NIV). As well, in the New Living Translation, the apostle Paul challenges the church at Philippi by urging them as follows: "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had..." (Phil.2:5, NLT). Hence, the same attitude mentioned here is synonymous with the term, "mindset." Yes, Jesus demonstrates the prime example of service, but He also shown on several occasions how to "have what you say and say what you desire" by utilizing faith as a servant as emphasized in this discourse (see Mark 11:22-24).

Book excerpt: You now hold within your hands the information necessary to Adopt the Jesus Mindset, aka "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 2:5). As apostle Paul stated to the Philippians "...have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: " Paul challenges the church at Philippi by urging them to "have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had..." The same attitude mentioned here is synonymous with the term, "mindset." Yes, Jesus demonstrates the prime example of service, but He also demonstrated on several occasions how to have what you say and say only what you desire by utilizing faith as a servant as emphasized in Mark 11:22-24. Wise men have noted, "if you change your mindset you have the ability to change your world." Therefore, the prayer of this book is these pages become Rhema, i.e. "action of utterance," and inspire readers to adopt the mindset of Jesus in becoming imitators of God (Eph. 5:1-2). Read this book and you will also discover, "There is nothing more powerful than a transformed mind.

Book excerpt: "You, too, hold within your hands the power to transform your world from the inside out." Scripture portrays Jesus aka "The Man from Nazareth" as both perfect and exceptional. This book offers insight into His humble beginnings and demonstrates how He wielded the power of God's spoken Word and "called those things which are not as though they already existed" (Rom 4:17). His mission was to transform the world with words. Jesus demonstrated perfection in framing words and exercised command over adverse circumstances throughout His earthly ministry. Jesus is the prime example of how to live a victorious life and invoke mastery over adverse circumstances by confession of faith. Even so much that John the Apostle stated in John 21:25, "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written" (NIV). So, it's time to begin the journey for positive transformation.

Book excerpt: As a transformational leader, Jesus was birthed to bring transformation to the spiritual and physical climate of the Earth and its inhabitants. He created a vision of dominion authority for His disciples as He demonstrated how to utilize "the God kind of faith" (Mark 11:22-24). Later, after Jesus completed His mission, He proclaimed while suspended between heaven and Earth, "It is finished!" Therefore, the keys of the kingdom of heaven have been dispensed to His followers (Matt. 16:19). Will you be the one to step forward and receive dominion authority? Thus, this study guide is designed to help individuals build their visions and launch their dreams of what they can become with the right mindset as imitators of Christ. Book excerpt: At the start of the gay rights movement in 1969, evangelicalism's leading voices cast a vision for gay people who turn to Jesus. It was C.S. Lewis, Billy Graham, Francis Schaeffer and John Stott who were among the most respected leaders within theologically orthodox Protestantism. We see with them a positive pastoral approach toward gay people, an approach that viewed homosexuality as a fallen condition experienced by some Christians who needed care more than cure. With the birth and rise of the ex-gay movement, the focus shifted from care to cure. As a result, there are an estimated 700,000 people alive today who underwent conversion therapy in the United States alone. Many of these patients were treated by faith-based, testimony-driven parachurch ministries centered on the ex-gay script. Despite the best of intentions, the movement ended with very troubling results. Yet the ex-gay movement died not because it had the wrong sex ethic. It died because it was founded on a practice that diminished the beauty of the gospel. Yet even after the closure of the ex-gay umbrella organization Exodus International in 2013, the ex-gay script continues to walk about as the undead among us, pressuring people like me to say, "I used to be gay, but I'm not gay anymore. Now I'm just same-sex attracted." For orthodox Christians, the way forward is a path back to where we were forty years ago. It is time again to focus with our Neo-Evangelical fathers on care--not cure--for our non-straight sisters and brothers who are living lives of costly obedience to Jesus. With warmth and humor as well as original research, Still Time to Care will chart the path forward for our churches and ministries in providing care. It will provide guidance for the gay person who hears the gospel and finds themselves smitten by the life-giving call of Jesus. Woven throughout the book will be Richard Lovelace’s 1978 call for a "double repentance" in which gay Christians repent of their homosexual sins and the church repents of its homophobia--putting on display for all the power of the gospel.

Perhaps we are more than we have become." The Jesus Mindset is about taking a look at the way we think and what we think about ourselves as opposed to how Jesus approached life and truly considering what it means to follow Him. Why did He walk on the water? What was He trying to reveal to the Disciples in the boat? What is it that He wanted us to take away from that over a thousand years later? Jesus' Mindset was vastly different than ours, still it says in 1 Corinthians 2:16: "But we have the mind of Christ." What does that even mean? The Jesus Mindset will take you on a transformational journey inside your own Mindset and challenge you to reconsider the "Hows" and "Whys" behind every decision you make, your level of resolve and commitment! Book excerpt: Whether the issue of the day on Twitter, Facebook, or cable news is our sexuality, political divides, or the perceived conflict between faith and science, today’s media pushes each one of us into a frustrating clash between two opposing sides. Polarizing, us-against-them discussions divide us and distract us from thinking clearly and communicating lovingly with others. Scott Sauls, like many of us, is weary of the bickering and is seeking a way of truth and beauty through the conflicts. Jesus Outside the Lines presents Jesus as this way. Scott shows us how the words and actions of Jesus reveal a response that does not perpetuate the destructive fray. Jesus offers us a way forward—away from harshness, caricatures, and stereotypes. In Jesus Outside the Lines, you will experience a fresh perspective of Jesus, who will not (and should not) fit into the sides.

Book excerpt: Sex. Race. Scripture. Sovereignty. The book of Ruth entails them all. So readers shouldn't be fooled by its age, says Pastor John Piper. Though its events happened over 3,000 years ago, the story holds astounding relevance for Christians in the twenty-first century. The sovereignty of God, the sexual nature of humanity, and the gospel of God's mercy for the undeserving-these massive realities never change. And since God is still sovereign, and we are male or female, and Jesus is alive and powerful, A Sweet and Bitter Providence bears a message for readers from all walks of life. But be warned, Piper tells his audience: This ancient love affair between Boaz and Ruth could be dangerous, inspiring all of us to great risks in the cause of love.
