Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: RUSA focuses on better quality of state higher education institutions. The aim is to achieve mass access to higher education with high quality standards. States must ensure that all their institutions adopt NAAC accreditation as the mandatory quality assurance framework, and simultaneously seek to upgrade the overall academic quality by implementing reforms. They will be encouraged to promote research and innovation in their institutions. Since research focus can be judged both from input efforts and outcome indicators, the SHEPS are expected to have a balanced appreciation of both aspects. States and institutions are expected to honestly declare their present status in this area and outline specific strategies for improvement, including the use of information and communications technologies (ICT). There is a need to improve resource allocation for universities to enable good quality research and innovation. Criteria such as the number of research publications, impact factors of journals in which papers are published, citations, the amount of research funding attracted, etc., should be considered for faculty promotions.

Hence, both functional and moral responsibility, of the hospital towards society is inevitable. We are very much thankful to all the learned teachers who have given their feedback whole-heartedly. We have even incorporated the changes in this manual based on the feedback given by the teachers from all the institutes. Now, we believe that the manual has been fulfilling the aspirations of pharmacology teachers and students too. This manual is prepared as per PCI Education Regulations, 2020 for Diploma Course in Pharmacy. The manual is designed to train the students for improving their professional skills of providing various pharmaceutical care services in community pharmacy. The special emphasis is given on the activities that can be performed in the community pharmacy so that the students can do the effective patient counselling on various chronic diseases. The practical manual helps students to gain in-depth knowledge of providing professional services like handling of prescriptions, preparation of dispensing and auxiliary labels, health screening services, administration techniques of various dosage forms and use of community pharmacy software for the betterment of the community health. This manual is designed for 'outcome-based education' and each experiment is arranged in a uniform way such as practical significance, practical outcomes (PrOs) and its mapping with course outcomes, minimum theoretical background, resources used, procedure, precautions, observations, result, conclusion, references and related questions. Moreover, assessment scheme is also given to help the student and teacher to know what is to be assessed. Every experiment has the component of activity or role play included so that the students will be able to interact with the patients and give them the counselling tips on administration, proper use and storage of the dosage forms. We acknowledge the help and cooperation extended by various persons in bringing out this manual. We are highly indebted to the authors of various books and articles mentioned in references of each experiment, which became a major source of information for writing this manual. We also admire the publishers, designers, and printers who graciously worked hard to publish this manual. Book excerpt: Preface UGC NET exam pattern 2022 has been released by National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the official notification. As per the UGC NET 2022 exam pattern, the exam consists of two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers are comprised of objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). There is no break between Paper 1 and 2. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The medium of the UGC NET question paper is in English and Hindi languages only. Till December 2018, the UGC NET exam pattern was such that the test consisted of two papers (Paper 1 and 2) that were conducted in two different sessions. Candidates had to complete both the papers (Paper 1 and 2) in a duration of one and two hours, respectively. However, in June 2019, NTA changed the exam pattern as per which candidates now have to give both the papers in a single three-hour duration. In UGC NET Paper 1, the official website of NTA informs, "The questions will be generic in nature, intending to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate."This book ‘A Handbook for General Paper on Teaching & Research Aptitude (Paper -I) of UGC-NET & PET Exams: A Crash Course for all Aspiring Students’ (For All 101 Subjects) is an outcome of not just efforts from the authors, but contributions by many Research Scholars.
