La psicología de la salud ocupacional que se describe en este libro representa literatura teórica y de investigación realizada originalmente en países como Colombia, República Dominicana, Chile, España y México, en tres grandes grupos de temas: calidad de vida, desgaste ocupacional, y salud y productividad.
