Work related stress affects productivity and that result in disagreement among workers and poor quality of work . Occupational Stress is due to work environment and family circumstances. Power Sector is known for hazardous work environment. Hence the present study aims at bringing a better understanding on stress related problems in power sector and identify the consequences of stress with a view to enable the employees in managing their stress.The units selected for the study included Koradi Thermal Power Station, Koradi and Khaparkheda Thermal Power Station, Khaparkheda. The sample size was 120, Random Sampling Method was applied to select sample employees from each unit. The researcher used personal interview method and observation method for collecting the required primary data. The statistical tools used to analyze the data with reference to the selected objectives of the study, include Simple Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and correlation.Most of the employees in the power sector get stress due to their working conditions, management policies, work-life balance, work load, job satisfaction and psychological factors. Employees from senior and junior level experience almost same level of occupational stress which result from the various organizational and personal factors. A satisfactory human resource practices would result in stress free work life and high job satisfaction.

The last couple of decade’s researches has established the complexity of the construct, and places the individual stress experience within a larger organizational context of people’s relation to their job. Recently, the work on role stress has expanded nationally and internationally and has led to new conceptual models. The focus on role stress and its relation with mental health; value, and the coping strategies of individual promise to yield new perspectives on interventions to alleviate the stress. Earlier studies showed that the contribution of various aspects of role stress is causing adverse effects on mental health of employees and were found different from one study sample to another. In light of the above study, a need is felt to investigate the relationship between role stress and mental health among Nepalese civil servants working in different positions. The Nepalese political culture and unionism are also the major determinants of role stress. Government authority should focus on visioning and developing strategies in advance to make the government functionaries effective and efficient by conducting proper research in the government system of Nepal in relation to role stress and its components. Therefore, the present study of stress and mental health of government employees is in relation with their role stress and mental health. The research is quantitative in its approach. For the purpose of the study, 284 Nepalese civil servants were selected randomly. The result, on the basis of research hypothesis, showed that class III officers reported higher level of stress than the class I and class II ones, but there was no significant difference of stress among the I, II and III class officers. So, it indicated that level of stress in class II officer was similar to that of I and III class officer because of their duel nature of work.

The IT industry has witnessed stress among the employees for quite a long time. There is growth in employment of women employees in this Sector. The multi role played by them contributes to Job Stress. There are different factors which contribute to Stress among working women which can influence job satisfaction, employee commitment, job involvement, productivity etc. This research paper investigates the relationship between Job Stress and Productivity. The sample consists of 92 women employees working at all levels in select IT companies in Hyderabad. The data is collected through structured questionnaire. Correlation and regression analysis was conducted to know the influence of Job Stress on Productivity. Also, ANOVA was performed to detect the variance in demographics characteristics on Job Stress. The study results show that there is negative relation between Job Stress and Productivity implying that when there is increase in Job Stress, there is decrease in Productivity. Also, there are no significant differences between select demographic characteristics on Job Stress.

It has been more than ten years since the first edition of the Blue Book. During the intervening period, the requirements on generators of health-care wastes have evolved and new methods have become available. Consequently, WHO recognized that it was an appropriate time to update the original text. The purpose of the second edition is to expand and update the practical information in the original Blue Book. The new Blue Book is designed to continue to be a source of impartial health-care information and guidance on safe waste-management practices. The editors' intention has been to keep the best of the original publication and supplement it with the latest relevant information. The audience for the Blue Book has expanded. Initially, the publication was intended for those directly involved in the creation and handling of health-care wastes: medical staff, health-care facility directors, ancillary health workers, infection-control officers and waste workers. This is no longer the situation. A wider range of people and organizations now have an active interest in the safe management of health-care wastes: regulators, policy-makers, development organizations, voluntary groups, environmental bodies, environmental health practitioners, advisers, researchers and students.
