Download or read book SPY GIRL written by Bridget Zinn and published by B.E.Z. Press. This book was released on 2020-12-02 with total page 265 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Katie Carlyle would be the first to tell you that living a secret second life is no joke. What would you do if you ran into your English teacher while spying undercover… AT A BAR? Which you know you shouldn't even be at because you're only fifteen, but when you're a spy working for a secret organization representing the countries of the world to promote international law, sometimes you don't have a choice. It doesn't help that Katie, despite the fact that she's one of the youngest and most talented spies at United Espionage, has a sort of, well, tendency to mess things up. She can speak twenty different languages, but can't seem to remember where she left her rappelling hook. Katie is working her way up the ranks to her dream of becoming an Elite Spy and makes one tiny mistake and the Commander sticks her with a rookie as her partner, Jaisen Bax. He is the kind of guy that she avoids – a muscle bound jock whose foreign accent sends every girl in the near vicinity into a state of weak kneed giggles. Just the kind of guy who is going to keep her from rising to the top of her game. At least she's in a position that ensures some serious international bad guy butt kicking to work out her frustration.

Book excerpt: Having barely escaped Germany, several Jewish friends are determined to strike back at the Third Reich while their families languish in concentration camps. After months of training with the U.S. Army, a small group of spies is formed, including several former German soldiers now willing to betray their Fuhrer for the greater good of Germany. The mission's commander is a Jewish sergeant who only months earlier was plucked from the streets of Brooklyn. The men are sent on a covert operation deep into the heavily fortified area of Austria's Alpine Redoubt, where Hitler planned to make his last stand. Capture meant almost certain death; success, a swift end to the war. Using recently declassified files, private documents, and personal interviews, military historian Patrick K. O'Donnell has written another cinematic World War II drama, filled with an unforgettable cast of characters and packed with action, suspense, and intrigue.

A last-minute meeting leads them to something better than a temporary shelter—a generation ship, scheduled to leave Earth behind to colonize new worlds after the comet hits. But everyone on the ship has been chosen because of their usefulness. Denise is autistic and fears that she’ll never be allowed to stay. Can she obtain a spot before the ship takes flight? What about her mother and sister? When the future of the human race is at stake, whose lives matter most?
