Will I get past the pain? Do I matter to God? These and similar questions can carve a deep hole in an already wounded soul. Too often, the lies of worthlessness are believed, the pain becomes too much to handle, and survivors find themselves making choices that lead to more heartbreak. With over 42 million survivors (both male and female) in the United States alone, the need for a clear path to healing is great. Crystal Sutherland—herself a survivor of CSA—knows that while the recovery process is complex, healing is possible with God’s help. For women who want to progress from simply coping to living abundantly, Journey to Heal guides readers through seven essential steps to recovery found in Scripture. Candid and open about her personal journey of healing, Crystal comes alongside her reader as a friend who understands. Infused with biblical truths, stories of hope from other survivors, and practical wisdom, this book leads women to discover the life of wholeness God has for them.

Book excerpt: In the summer of 2012, I came face to face with the shambles of my life. It seemed that no matter how hard I tried, all my plans and schemes were so many failed attempts at creating a life that I thought would bring me happiness. I was defeating myself. My wounds ran my life; my thoughts and habits pointed toward pain. Most of the time I felt scared, not knowing where I fit or who to trust. Successfully navigating my life seemed like an immense undertaking. I was trying so very hard and making so many mistakes. I was shattered and broken. I began to hunger for the Word of God, and I spent time with Him daily. The words were not simply good advice--they became as real as the air that I breathe, and the Holy Spirit began to do amazing things in me. Pointing the way to areas that needed healing, through prayer and revelation, I experienced release from the enemy, whose only desire is to destroy and confuse me. In this book Precious Love, you will find that God is still in the recovery, restoring and healing process for his children.

Book excerpt: This fourth of 4 books in the Loved Back to Life Series, The City of Hope, reveals Peral's personal search for meaning and Purpose in life today when death was the only option she thought existed. She wanted to believe in hope buried very deep in her heart, but that meant trusting in a God she no longer believed. She had survived her traumas and SRA abuses from family and cults through a survival mechanism known as Dissociative Identity (Disorder or DID). Learning why God allowed this is the point of her autobiography...not in the how but in the Who. She cries out to God through Jesus to explain why she should keep on living carrying these memories of abuse, pain and suffering that still controlled her choices in life. If He would or could heal her with a reason and will to continue then they would keep talking. How God brings healing to all in her system of people...culminating in one person living today is poignantly revealed in her journaled conversations from the beginning with Jesus, to understand God's love for her and all of His children. She shouts, denies, gives up, submits, challenges, obeys and finally chooses to trust in God's love as He overcomes her fears to live renewed again. As seen in the introductions in each book, God's desire is to give back hope to all who have lost it or had it stolen and empower each of us to rise above our circumstances in life through His eternal love living within and through us. Out of the Darkness: Parts One & Two are chronological in their search for understanding and depict in drawings and words the evil still at work in memories controlling choices today...and God's repeating requests of them to trust Him to heal them/her in His time as they are ready and as He chooses for them, not as the world or themselves desire it to be done. Questions like: 'How can you say I'm worthy of your love after everything I've done and what's been done to us/me? If you agree I've done them then how can I not feel guilty and live with that pain? How can I forgive myself or my abusers? Can you explain clearly to me how our suffering can be used to help others for good... why me? How can I serve you knowing that the healing never finishes and more suffering will be ahead on your path for me?' Books 2 & 3 Becoming Pearl & The City of Hope continue their process of discovery, acceptance and trust to reach where they are today, as one person on the path Jesus has put before them... with Jesus revealing how the answers to life's questions bear repeating often in the midst of our struggles and pain...in order to eventually trust in God and not in our own understanding. The drawings and words reflect their ongoing battles to believe in who God is, what He wants for her, and in the reality of the Kingdom of God around us, in us and in the heavens. She knows that nothing new is in her revelations about the Lord or His will that isn't already declared in the Scriptures for everyone...but prays these books will remind those still suffering alone as she did that He is there with them. She shares her hope in the future to become a growing reality to accept y as her heart and ours becomes one with God's heart. Her story truly is an autobiography of God's love.
