Book excerpt: Sure, Destiny, match her up with a gorgeous blackmailer who brings her donuts and entices her to reevaluate her life choices… Ex-Navy veteran Blake Keller is the world’s worst blackmailer. He came to the small town of Superstition Springs, Texas to enroll his teammate who needs immediate help with PTSD symptoms into an art therapy program, only to find it doesn’t exist yet. His mission: use his newly acquired intel about the consultant working on the project as leverage to force her to move faster. Except his special ops training never covered how to manage a pretty brunette who checks every one of his boxes and has major distraction written all over her. Aurora Elliot is the world’s worst undercover agent. Yes, she’s a real non-profit consultant who’s volunteering to spend a couple of pro-bono days on the therapy program, but after learning she was adopted, she’s really in town to scope out which of the residents is her birth mother. Her mission: leave before the woman can reject her again. Five minutes into her covert investigation, the far-too-charming and charismatic Blake Keller has uncovered the truth. His deal: let him oversee her progress on the program and he’ll keep his mouth shut. Her counter offer: a partnership. Soon they’re working together in close quarters, willfully sharing secrets and baring their souls in the world’s worst attempt to ignore the sparks flying between them. The timing for romance is all wrong. But when Serenity hands them love predictions signifying it’s meant to be, all bets are off…until Blake finds out Aurora never planned to stay. Small town military heroes—all swoon, no steam Welcome to Superstition Springs, the place where destiny is the ultimate matchmaker. All you have to do is believe. Book excerpt: Once again, #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn transports her readers to historical romance heaven! Quinn’s Just Like Heaven is the dazzling first installment of a delightful quartet of Regency Era-set tales featuring the romantic exploits of the well-meaning but less-than-accomplished Smythe-Smith musicians—in this case, a beautiful violinist in the pitiful group who has her sights set on marrying the last unwed Bridgerton…unless her handsome, love-struck guardian has anything to say about it. Bridgerton fans will cry, “Encore!”—as will every reader who adores England’s Regency period and great love stories that are smart, witty, and lighthearted.

In the tradition of It's a Wonderful Life and The Christmas Carol, Tessa starts reliving her life up until that moment. She sees some things she'd rather forget, learns some things about herself she'd rather not know, and ultimately must find the answer to one burning question--if only she knew what the question was. Written in sharp, witty verse, Wendy Mass crafts an extroardinary tale of a spunky heroine who hasn't always made the right choices, but needs to discover what makes life worth living.

Book excerpt: From the author of the acclaimed Dinner with Persephone comes a radically original novel about four women who invite us to imagine the divine anew: what if “a woman’s point of view” were also God’s? Patricia Storace’s Eve begins by telling us her version of what happened in Eden, and by revealing that our familiar constellations conceal other heavens we have never allowed ourselves to see. Each of the four subsequent chapters is the story of one of these new zodiacs, featuring images central to women: a knife, a cauldron, a garden, a pair of embracing lovers. The four women whose stories they tell are Job’s daughter, the Queen of Sheba, a polytheistic cook, and a transformed Sarah, wife of Abraham. Storace brilliantly reimagines the worlds of these women, freeing them from the old tales in which they were trapped and putting them in the foreground of their stories and of the Old Testament itself.

Calypso Elliot creates chaos wherever she goes, a hurricane in a handbasket who came to Superstition Springs to restart her life, not attract the attention of a stalker. The last thing she expects is for Garrison Rockwell to jump at the chance to play her fake boyfriend-slash-bodyguard. He attends to her every need. Takes care of her and her problems. It’s so…sexy. Ex-Navy vet Garrison Rockwell likes everything in its place and structures his life in this tiny Texas town to ensure it stays that way. It makes no sense why he’d be so intensely attracted to a hot mess like Calypso Elliot. They’re totally incompatible. But faking things is so much fun, it’s easy to forget. Except Calypso is the opposite of a woman Garrison can build a normal, non-chaotic life with. She’s not so sure he can handle a woman like her long term, either. There’s no way this can last forever…even if they fall for each other. Download or read book Visions of Heaven and Hell written by John Bunyan and published by Sovereign Grace Publishers,. This book was released on 2007-02 with total page 82 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the wicked have traveled a course of sin, and discover they have reason to fear the God;s judgement and wrath for their sins, they begin to wish there is no God to punish them, then by degrees they persuade themselves there is no God, and then they set themselves to study the arguments to support their opinion. This excellent book by John Bunyan covers the subject matter of the existence of heaven and hell as well as studies and dispells the arguments presented by sinners who argue there is no heaven and hell. Most do not know that Bunyan wrote some 60 books, and poetry too. And also almost a well-kept secret is that his doctrine was so biblically laced that many good men would call him too severe. He believed in, and taught, ALL the doctrines of grace, including double-predestination, or reprobation. Why then is he not smeared with the name of hyper-Calvinist like Goodwin, Gill, and others? I guess the same people ought to call Luther a hyper-Lutheran, for he believed and taught it, too. Why begin a review of Bunyan's writings with such a view of his doctrine? It is to show that a Pilgrim's Progress can come only from someone who believes and teaches ALL the counsel of God, without flinching, yea, with loving-kindness. Illegally, He sat in a jail cell over a river for 12 years with his Bible, Galatians by Luther, and another book or two. He had the choice of feeling miserable and murmuring, or of filling his time, thoughts, and energies with studying that Bible, and seeking a way to be of help to his more comfortable, but less dedicated, brothers and sisters. Listen, dear saints, you can't do any better than reading Bunyan. Like Gurnall, he covers everything here and there, and with a sweetness that can come only from God. What a shame that his large heart should be encased in such small print. But, like digging gold, it is worth the time and trouble to dig spiritual gold. Bunyan (1628-1688) rose from an humble beginning to being a preacher to a little house church, to 12 years in jail because he would not agree to quit preaching, to a huge church in London. He wrote 66 books, nearly all while in jail.
