This report presents results observed over the first 40 years of the experiment and updates the 15-year results reported by Thompson (1977). Results are presented for individual trees & the entire stand with regard to growth, mortality, and stand development in response to three partial cutting treatments: improvement cut, diameter-limit cut, and salvage cut.

Moral Ecology of a Forest provides an ethnographic account of conservation politics, particularly the conflict between Western conservation and Mayan ontological ecology.
