Not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. In this classic lexicon and concordance, English words appear in alphabetical order along with the equivalent Greek words, their literal and derivative meanings, and a list of passages in which they appear. The book also includes a comprehensive Greek-English index. The design of this work is to give every English word in alphabetical order, and under each the Greek word or words so translated, with a list of the passages in which the English word occurs, showing, by a reference figure, which is the Greek word used in each particular passage. Thus, at one view, the Greek word with its literal and derivative meanings may be found for every word in the English New Testament. Ethelbert William Bullinger (1837-1913) was an Anglican clergyman, Biblical scholar, and ultradispensationalist theologian. The sixth edition was produced after Bullinger's death. Typographical and other errors have been corrected as far as possible, but no change has been made in the Lexical part of the book. Publisher's note: The 1914 printing of this work was printed with weak type and inexpensive paper. Martino Publishing has enhanced the type and legibility of the text to make the material more easily apparent to the reader.

Such were the words that filled the author's heart on bringing to a close the labours of nine years, begun amidst the duties of a London parish and continued in various parts of the Master's vineyard; it is the fruit of time redeemed from less noble recreations, and devoted to the Master's service. Download or read book Analytical Lexicon of the Greek New Testament written by Timothy Friberg and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2005 with total page 442 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This addition to the field of New Testament Greek study aids is the most useful analytical lexicon available. The Analytical Lexicon of the Greek New Testament contains an alphabetical arrangement of every Greek form found in the major printed editions of the Greek New Testament: UBS, Nestle-Aland, and the Majority Text. Consequently, ANLEX is not a lexicon of a single edition of the New Testament; rather it is a lexicon of the New Testament's language in all its manuscript forms. A distinguishing feature of this and companion volumes is the use of grammatical tags. The analysis is "tagged" throughout with abbreviations that provide pertinent grammatical information. ANLEX's analysis is superior to traditional parsing because of the authors' expertise in modern linguistics. In addition, ANLEX provides new and original definitions in modern, descriptive English for each root word.
