São recentes e raros os trabalhos que descrevem de maneira abrangente a gestão tributária como função da controladoria, mesmo diante dos impactos nos resultados das organizações causados pela elevada carga tributária brasileira. Diante destes fatos, o presente estudo tem como objetivo identificar a contribuição da controladoria na coordenação da gestão tributária em operações de compras de uma organização industrial localizada no Estado de Santa Catarina. Neste contexto, a área de controladoria e a de compras da organização foram estudadas com o intuito de verificar a interação entre os setores e identificar o grau de conhecimento dos compradores sobre os aspectos tributários presentes nos processos de aquisição. Outros aspectos analisados foram a contribuição da controladoria na execução dos processos de compras e as possibilidades de redução dos custos por meio do acompanhamento das compras de insumos e bens para o ativo imobilizado. O embasamento teórico foi elaborado a partir do referencial existente sobre o tema e a metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa descritiva, qualitativa, do tipo indireta. O levantamento de dados foi realizado por meio de questionários de perguntas fechadas e abertas, entrevistas e observação. O estudo de caso confirmou que a controladoria pode auxiliar na redução da carga tributária presente nas operações de compras, tanto que 91,30% dos compradores afirmaram que a interação entre as áreas de compras e controladoria melhoraria os resultados da organização. Por meio da pesquisa observou-se que, em geral, os compradores confundem o conhecimento prático e superficial que possuem com o conhecimento necessário que precisam dominar sobre todos os tributos incidentes nos processos de aquisição. A interação entre as áreas de controladoria e compras poderá ser facilitada pela atuação direta de um funcionário da controladoria junto a área de compras e por treinamentos internos regulares sobre aspectos tributários, presentes nos processos de aquisição de insumos e bens.

In The Fall and Rise of Freedom of Contract leading scholars in the fields of contract law and law-and-economics analyze the new interest in bargaining freedom. The 1970s was a decade of regulatory triumphalism in North America, marked by a surge in consumer, securities, and environmental regulation.
