Book excerpt: Growing up as a Christian, Adam gained a great knowledge of Christian theology and scripture. However, as he studied his religion he realised the truth pointed in a different direction. The evidence pointed towards Islam as the true faith. After deep and wide-ranging research, Adam converted to Islam, and shares much of the evidence he found in this book. Drawing on evidence from the Bible and the Quran, as well as history and philosophy, this book majestically demonstrates the clear evidence for the Islamic faith in comparison to Christianity. This book aims to provide Muslim readers with a vast resource of sound arguments when engaging in conversation with Christian critics, and will provide important points for consideration for those of the Christian faith, God willing. Easy to read and rich in knowledge, this book is a valuable read for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Book excerpt: Those who practice the Muslim faith have resisted examinations of their religion. They are extremely guarded about their religion, and what they consider blasphemous acts by skeptical Muslims and non-Muslims alike has only served to pique the world's curiosity. This critical examination reveals an unflattering picture of the faith and its practitioners. Nevertheless, it is the truth, something that has either been deliberately concealed by modern scholars or buried in obscure journals accessible only to a select few.

Contemporary feminist debates among women's NGOs are examined, and the different perceptions of gender roles among Islamist men and women are presented and contrasted. Three feminist streams are identified as both shaping and being shaped by, the dynamics of interaction between political Islam and state regimes.

It has thirteen chapters covering the range of quantitative, qualitative, action research and mixed methods as well as management theories underpinning change in pharmacy practice. “Pharmacy Practice Research Methods” examines the evidence and impact as well as explores the future. Pharmacy practice is rapidly transforming and as such it is to be adaptable as student and academic researchers and to not only understand techniques and methodologies, but as champions to nurture the field. There is a literature in this area but few integrated texts which cover the wide range of pharmacy practice including methodologies, evidence, practice and policy. This book provides a solid foundation for exploring these phenomenon further, and is expected to serve as a valuable resource for academics, students, policy makers and professional organisations.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Named a Best Book of 2021 by NPR This inspirational memoir serves as a call to action from prison reform activist Yusef Salaam, of the Exonerated Five, that will inspire us all to turn our stories into tools for change in the pursuit of racial justice. They didn't know who they had. So begins Yusef Salaam telling his story. No one's life is the sum of the worst things that happened to them, and during Yusef Salaam's seven years of wrongful incarceration as one of the Central Park Five, he grew from child to man, and gained a spiritual perspective on life. Yusef learned that we're all "born on purpose, with a purpose." Despite having confronted the racist heart of America while being "run over by the spiked wheels of injustice," Yusef channeled his energy and pain into something positive, not just for himself but for other marginalized people and communities. Better Not Bitter is the first time that one of the now Exonerated Five is telling his individual story, in his own words. Yusef writes his narrative: growing up Black in central Harlem in the '80s, being raised by a strong, fierce mother and grandmother, his years of incarceration, his reentry, and exoneration. Yusef connects these stories to lessons and principles he learned that gave him the power to survive through the worst of life's experiences. He inspires readers to accept their own path, to understand their own sense of purpose. With his intimate personal insights, Yusef unpacks the systems built and designed for profit and the oppression of Black and Brown people. He inspires readers to channel their fury into action, and through the spiritual, to turn that anger and trauma into a constructive force that lives alongside accountability and mobilizes change. This memoir is an inspiring story that grew out of one of the gravest miscarriages of justice, one that not only speaks to a moment in time or the rage-filled present, but reflects a 400-year history of a nation's inability to be held accountable for its sins. Yusef Salaam's message is vital for our times, a motivating resource for enacting change. Better, Not Bitter has the power to soothe, inspire and transform. It is a galvanizing call to action.

Abdullah passed away before Muhammad (pbuh) was born and was brought up by Amina, his mother. When he was six, his mother passed away and then he was looked after by his loving grandfather Abdul Mutallib. Two years later, Abdul Mutallib also passed away and Muhammad (pbuh) was brought up by his uncle Abu Talib. Muhammad (pbuh) lived a simple life, marrying Khadija when he was twenty five years old. At the age of forty, the first verses came from Allah in the month of Ramadan. The Angel Jibrael brought these first five verses to Muhammad (pbuh). These words were written down by the scribes and memorised by the Muslims. This message continued for twenty three years and is known as the Qu'ran - the word of Allah. The Qu'ran is this pure message that was revealed to Muhammad 1400 years ago. These are the words of Allah that were sent to the prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Allah has guarded it and kept it pure from changes and errors. The purpose or mission of the prophet (pbuh) was to deliver this message to Mankind and to follow its teachings. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was kind and honest. He looked after his family and friends. He had good character and respected the elders. He looked after the orphans and the poor. He was concerned for the wellbeing of all people. He never stole or swore at anyone. He was loved and respected by everyone - the Muslims and the non-Muslims. The prophet's character and actions are also recorded in the Hadith books which give us an insight into this great man. Many people try and follow the example of the prophet (pbuh), indeed he is a role model for all Muslims. We should also be kind and good - following the example of the prophet (pbuh) throughout our lives. In this Seerah Book, Children will learn a lot about the prophet (pbuh) and about his life.
