Her efforts are savagely thwarted by Amir, Fahad's Iraqi control, who has murdered and stolen a St. Martins student's identity. Amir kidnaps Zahira and forces Fahad, now beginning to reject his terrorist mission, to come to St. Martins and proceed with the assassination. In an explosive climax, the lives of three children and countless civilians hang in the balance, and in spite of college supporters' and Owen's attempts to save her, Zahira must make her jihad alone.

En effet, l'ampleur de ses connaissances, la rigueur radicale de son erudition et ses grandes qualites humaines ont ete des facteurs decisifs dans la diffusion des etudes shi'ites et leur transmission a travers la formation de generations entieres de chercheurs. Ainsi, ce volume d'hommage se veut un temoignage de l'essor grandissant des etudes shi'ites imamites et de la dette indeniable de celles-ci aux savants reunis, il y a quarante ans, a Strasbourg, ainsi qu'a l'oeuvre immense d'Etan Kohlberg.
