Book Synopsis Jesus Christ – The Earthly name of the Devil by : Stoyan Dinkov
Download or read book Jesus Christ – The Earthly name of the Devil written by Stoyan Dinkov and published by Uncorp.org. This book was released on 2018-02-10 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Let us examine in more detail the doctrine of the virgin and the immaculate conception. This dogma is one of the basic religions of Christianity and was established in 431 at the Third Ecumenical Council in Ephesus, that is, four centuries after the death of Jesus. The dogma is based on deliberately made inaccurate translations, replaced words and correspondingly free interpretations of the original texts of the prophets of Tanah (Old Testament). This is, perhaps, the most essential and extremely important example of a purposeful replacement of words that has led to erroneous translations and false interpretations of the long religious history of mankind. The dogma of virginity and immoral conception, as we have said, is one of the main dogmas on which Christianity is based. This dogma claims that a virgin gave birth to the Messiah Jesus Christ, through miraculous and blameless conception in which God Himself participated through the Holy Spirit, and thanks to the supernatural act appeared to the world and the Son of God. This so basic dogma in Christianity is written in the Matthew Gospel as follows: „The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”) – (Matthew 1:23). Thus the Christian religion “proves” one of its main dogmas, referring to a text in the Book of Isaiah (the prophet Yeshaiahu Ben Amotz) in which the prophet prophesied the immaculate conception of Jesus Christ: „Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14). At first glance, there is no difference, but in fact only one word that is specifically altered changes the whole meaning not only of the text but also of the Christian dogma as a whole. The word that is written in the Christian New Testament is the Greek parthenos (virgin), while in the original Hebrew text of Isaiah the prophet in the Old Testament is the word alma (העלמה – young woman)! This word was written initially personally by the Prophet as an alma (a young woman), who apparently is neither a virgin. It is well-known that the dogma of immaculate conception holds a great deal of the ideology of Christian doctrine. Deprived of this dogma, the doctrine is deprived of God the Son, and therefore Jesus becomes an ordinary man.
Book Synopsis YESHUA, THE CRUCIFIED SERPENT by : Rowland Stenrud
Download or read book YESHUA, THE CRUCIFIED SERPENT written by Rowland Stenrud and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-11-29 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It was the atheist, Jean Paul Sartre, who once said that, "Hell is other people." Rowland Stenrud's Yeshua, the Crucified Serpent is about how mankind's savior, Jesus of Nazareth, has saved men and women from this hell by making it possible, and indeed inevitable, for human beings to love one another and their Creator-Father, Yahweh God. This book is about the concept and practice of human and divine love. The words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, the Bible as a whole, and the reader's life experience will help in defining this. The author reviews what he knows about the concept and its related precepts and brings them to bear in this book. God himself is love, which should tell us how mysterious a thing love is. To acquire this ability to love, one must suffer in union with the suffering Christ. Salvation, pure and simple, is God delivering each one from the inability to love other human beings and the Creator Himself. The obstacle to this perfect love is the serpent of human wisdom and pride that existed even in Jesus. In his loving obedience to the Father, Jesus nailed this serpent to the cross. Yeshua, the Crucified Serpent attempts to show that the question of evil and suffering in the world is answered by Yahweh's eventual success in saving all of mankind. The majority of Christians believe in a number of key doctrines that the biblical authors do not unequivocally teach. A few verses may support these unbiblical doctrines but a greater number of verses, whose meaning is clearer, contradict the standard interpretation of these few verses. Other doctrines that Christians mistakenly believe in find support in this or that section of the Bible but are denied by the general thrust of the Bible as a whole. These unbiblical doctrines followed by the correct biblical teaching are: 1. Sometime in the distant past a large number of God's angels rebelled against Him becoming what are called devils or demons whose leader is known as Satan or Lucifer. The Bible teaches that the only agent of evil in the universe is man's heart. 2. Adam and Eve possessed the perfection of Jesus Christ before they sinned. If they had not sinned they would not have needed to be healed of any weakness. The Bible teaches that Adam and Eve could not have had eternal life even before they sinned without the work of Jesus of Nazareth. 3. Faith is an act of the free will of man. The Bible teaches that faith does involve man putting his trust in God's promises and revelation, but it is primarily a power given to man by God in order to enable him to see spiritual truth the natural man cannot see. Without this gift of the Holy Spirit, no human being can know God and be saved. 4. Ultimately speaking, we are saved by our faith. On the contrary, it is through Jesus's faith in and love for the Father that is the instrument of our salvation. 5. Jesus saved us by paying the penalty due our sins and therefore saving us from the just wrath of God. This is false. No one had to pay any penalty for God to forgive the sins of the human race. God relates to sinners on the basis of mercy and mercy is not mercy if the penalty for sin is paid. By going to the cross, Jesus healed our brokenness which forgiveness alone could not accomplish. 6. Satan and the sins of men are ultimately responsible for human suffering. False. God is ultimately responsible for human suffering as it is a necessary part of God's work of saving human beings. God Himself shares in all of our suffering: physical, emotional and spiritual even though He does not have a body or nervous system. 7. Salvation is about our eternal destiny. This is not correct. Salvation is about being saved from the idolatries, addictions, corruption, hatreds, evil deeds that afflict the unsav

Book excerpt: Many have tried to understand Revelation, but evidently few have actually taken the visions apart to study their chronology. This book is part of the results of years of studying Revelation through the Greek, not a translation. This first book, part one of the commentary, includes a thorough discussion of the keys necessary for understanding Revelation and the timing of its events. The entire commentary will include a new translation of Revelation along with running commentary in what is believed to be a close rendition of Revelation’s true chronology. Included support for these understandings comes from the Old and New Testaments, early Christian writings and ancient Jewish understandings. It is the author’s belief that without these new findings Christians will not be able to fully understand Revelation and the End Times.
Book Synopsis Encountering Jesus in Revelation by : Ben Boeckel
Download or read book Encountering Jesus in Revelation written by Ben Boeckel and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2024-02-07 with total page 207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is Revelation really worth the effort? Does its message resonate with followers of Jesus in the here and now? Encountering Jesus in Revelation offers pastors and laypeople an accessible tool for studying Revelation within the local church. It situates Revelation in its ancient context while stressing how its apocalyptic nature addresses God’s people at every point in history, including our own. It does this by introducing apocalyptic writing as a form of literature and then surveys the alternative perspective Revelation offers on the world of its readers. That perspective is one in which we encounter Jesus and his call to leave behind the often-unrecognized beasts and monsters that inhabit our world. Readers who find themselves reluctant to study Revelation because of the confusing nature of its contents—and of academic books written about it—will find that Encountering Jesus in Revelation offers accessible and applicable insights as it explores how Revelation addresses its readers today.
Book Synopsis Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah by : Dr. Esther Diane Boucher
Download or read book Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah written by Dr. Esther Diane Boucher and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-12-01 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christianity has attempted to present Messiah in universal terms by stripping Him of His Jewish identity and presenting Him to the world as a universal, one-size-fits-all Savior. In doing so, they have removed Him from the inheritance of Abraham and robbed Him of His core identity. Jewish people have experienced thousands of years of persecution. They have been taught to believe that they are traitors to their people if they accept Yeshua as Messiah. They have looked for a King, a political leader who would free them from their oppressors and provide peace and prosperity. So they also have robbed Him of His core identity. Bible critics and scholars are talking about the differences between the Messiah of Christianity and the historical person Yeshua, referred to as Jesus Christ. But who is Yeshua? Yeshua was a Torah-observant Jew who practiced the faith of Biblical Judaism throughout His lifetime. He looked like a Jew, acted like a Jew, and worshipped like a Jew. Failure to understand these facts has robbed Jew and Christians alike of spiritual understanding of who Yeshua really was. As you read this book, you'll be amazed at just how Jewish Yeshua really was! This is not just another book about a messiah, but a thought provoking, fun to read journey into the world and culture of the Bible that will change how you think and affirm the historical basis for faith in Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah.

Book excerpt: The New Testament writings reflect a sense of wrestling to understand what the world-shattering events of Jesus's life, death, resurrection, and ascension mean in the rough-and-tumble of daily life in a conflicted world. In this book, a senior New Testament scholar investigates seven critical areas of tension--historical, moral, political, material, social, perceptual, and temporal--that shape the "big ideas" discussed and debated in the New Testament. This lively investigation explores the challenges that influenced the New Testament writings and how the writers responded to those tensions. The author shows that out of this upheaval came a remarkable set of creative, dynamic writings that have shaped and challenged millions of lives as sacred Scripture. This accessibly written book offers a fresh way to learn about the world and content of the New Testament writings. It will help readers appreciate the rich diversity of New Testament thought cohering around commitment to the one Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
