Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joe has been cursed. He must meet with Yahweh, the Creator, once a week for coffee, and listen to God complain. Unfortunately, Yahweh is a crotchety old deity with a pantheon of family problems. His son, Jesus, has been hiding out in the basement for 1700 years since he discovered his wife, the goddess of the Church, has been whoring it up with the gods of the state, of wealth, and now the goddess of anti-intellectualism. God's wife, Frigga, has basically stopped talking to Him, except to keep nagging Him about retiring. It seems like there will be a coup at every board meeting of the gods. Oh, and Jesus' estranged wife, Inanna, is plotting a terrorist attack to try to start a holy war. God is fed up with all the drama. He's perfectly tired and infinitely irritable. God doesn't seem too interested in human problems, but things are rocky between Joe and his wife, Christy, who is considering cheating with the handsome new adjunct professor who works with her at Western Oregon University. Also, the curse goes down to the fourth generation, so Joe has to figure out a way to protect his seven-year-old son, Dawkins, from sharing his fate. Joe's life is a comedy as black as God's coffee.

He speaks to my heart and mind in many ways, although mainly through His Word, and He especially seems to enjoy teaching me lessons from His creation. The Lord God is all about relationship with His people. All good relationships consist of two-way communication, and learning to hear, recognize and obey God's voice has been a life journey for me. Since I love to write, over the years I have recorded some of the things the Holy Spirit has spoken to me about, and I have compiled them in this sometimes serious and sometimes humorous conglomeration of narratives. Yes, He's used donkeys, dogs, snakes, scorpions, cats, pigs, oak trees, and one of my favorites...a homeless man who kissed me on top of my head. May you be encouraged to seek a deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father, Jesus the Son and Holy Spirit as you come along with me on my personal spiritual journey.

Book excerpt: This history of mankind has revealed he has produced great inventions, wonderful works of art, discoveries, and has created a fragile family unit. The Love of man has been revealed in our souls by; poetry, history and by his devotion to his God. Man efforts of love have slowly declined over his years on Earth. It needs to be motivated and patiently encouraged. This is my intent for writing this book; that one might grow in their love and touch the world that starving for Godly love. Godly love is not like Mans love; it has no expectations, no paybacks; but given freely without cause. I hope to motivate this Godly love within you. God created the world and made it a world of many colors. He beautified the world the colors of the rainbow. Everything that God created was colored to his perfection; including man. Man does not see the things created by God as perfect as they were created, because man only visualize with his eyes. God expected man to visualize the beauty that he created with all of his senses; including his spiritual sense; his heart.

Book excerpt: You may want to know what this book is about. It isn't about the end of the world. Rather, it is an open portal to what the Bible says is an inevitable future when God reconciles His creation to Himself. Part of that reconciliation will be when He steps into time and space and says, "Time's up, now the judgment." The Arm of the Lord is a Hebrew idiom for the power of Yahweh (יהוה), excerpted from Isaiah 53:1. It isn't coincidental that the magnificent 53rd chapter of Isaiah, the Suffering Servant, starts with this preamble. The power of God examined in this story is God's power to redeem fallen mankind without compromising His righteousness.

Book excerpt: The relatively quiet lives of a Vermont couple, Connie and Alex, forever change one foggy morning when they stumble upon the following phrase in Genesis "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...". Why were these plural pronouns used? Who was "us" and "our"? Was it possible that the bible was actually describing the creation of humankind by extraterrestrials? Determined to find an answer, the couple begins to research further and their suspicions are confirmed. Wanting to share all of the information they have gathered, Connie starts a blog. She learns that many of the women who read her blog have seen a UFO and have Rh negative blood, similar to Connie. Were they brought together for a reason? This is Susan Alan's first novel. Although this tale is purely fiction, the literary, art and electronic references are all real. It is Ms. Alan's desire that this story not only entertain but also fuel thought and discussion.

Book excerpt: This book is an antidote to contemporary philosophical, religious-spiritual markets and trappings. The book details the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual subtleties and complexities that exist and are experienced on the quest towards wisdom: the qualities that teachers of wisdom must possess, what is expected from seekers after truth, the teacher-student relationship, the importance of love, the stages of spiritual evolution, and the nature of a spiritual community. This book offers a rare and uncommon glimpse into the inner or esoteric dimensions of the three great Western religious traditions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Using everyday language and examples, the book offers understandable accounts of some of the core and complex practices and teachings of these great traditions. Those interested in journeying the spiritual path, given the enormously complicated contemporary social and political worlds, will find the insights in this book refreshing and thought-provoking.
