However, there are many challenges to incorporating wind generation into urban areas. These include planning issues besides visual impacts. So, as to integration, there is a need for a combined approach that considers wind energy harvesting besides these issues. At this point, a multidisciplinary approach can fill the gap between the architectural design and the wind engineering processes. Based on this approach, this chapter presents design strategies from the literature to integrate wind energy to tall buildings using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation. It is intended to guide further researches on wind energy and consequently to contribute to the environmental quality of urban areas and sustainable development of the cities.
