Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bill Sutch and Shirley Smith were two of New Zealand's most significant twentieth-century figures; Sutch as an economist, influential civil servant, and inspirational proponent of innovation in the fields of social and economic development, and Smith as glass-ceiling breaker in the formerly male-dominated world of the law. Keith Ovenden's wise, urbane memoir begins with the early years of his marriage to Sutch and Smith's only child, Helen Sutch, and carries through Sutch's trial on charges under the Official Secrets Act to Smith's death over 30 years later. It offers unprecedented insights into both the accusations against Sutch and Smith's remarkable legal practice and, behind both, some of the dramas of their domestic life. Deeply intelligent and beautifully crafted, Bill and Shirley: A Memoir is a unique and intimate study of two complex and fascinating New Zealanders.

They have issues and problems their uncle sees that they are crazy about these boys and they might even be in love with these boys but some of them have baggage and he decides to help them with their problems and their habits for his nieces sakes. He finds the lady of his dreams during the process and so does his sons. The men from Washington DC have taken on a contract for the company and in one year they will get the contract or lose it either way the Uncle's will be a winner. The guys show their talents but will they get the contract and the girls they have fallen madly in love with and changed their ways too. We also find out they arent the only ones looking for good men and women. We all have a past that we may not be proud of but we all can look to the future for change if we only try hard to do whats right. The future will be a big picture for all of us if we only look, listen and do what thus said the Lord says. This is just my opinion and I am not criticizing anyone in this story. We all have sin and I cannot point my figure at anyone unless I point it at myself sin is sin no matter how big or small in the eyes of the Lord. This book is to inspire those who will read it and have an open mind. The Lord wants us all to take inventory on ourselves and be mindful and not judge others. I really hope you all will enjoy what you have read. May the Lord guide you on your way to happiness and more?

Book excerpt: Osment's trilogy of 'Devon Plays' draw on his background growing up on a farm in North Devon and were produced in the mid-1990s by Cambridge Theatre Company (Method and Madness). The Dearly Beloved (1993): 'Local boy made good comes back to visit his mother in a small West Country town where his presence brings home to his friends who stayed put the various ways in which their lives have failed ... you can't but be reminded of Chekhov at times.' Independent What I Did in the Holidays (1995): 'Osment's wonderfully dense and detailed study of fraught life in rurally non-swinging Britain. The play charts a painfully funny path through the casual everyday cruelties inflicted by the thoughtless young and selfish old. Osment's play is a delight.' Evening Standard Flesh and Blood (1996): 'Brilliant at evoking the nostalgia of Devon country life in a strange, recidivist family ... and in the elision between outdoor lust and indoor stuffiness.' Observer
