Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: She is a gifted communicator with the Spirit World. Her latest journey into last meals of executed prisoners and food choices for letting go of her past, challenges each of us to think about what our last meal choices might be and why. Thinking she was done, the Spirit World challenged her to pick a food to celebrate a new beginning as she returned to working with the Spirit World after a lengthy illness. Lessons learned, Soul Groups, Energy Centers/Chakras and recipes make this another of her inspirational books. This book challenges one to think about the food choices they would make if it was to be their last day on earth or letting go of a past. Or, perhaps, to celebrate a new beginning. Lessons learned, Soul Groups, Energy Centers/Chakras and recipes make this another of her inspirational books. In Jeri Conklin’s latest book, “When Spirits Speak: Stilt Bird’s Last Supper, her ability to communicate with the Spirit World allows us to experience not only her own story of celebrating her past, making way for her new beginnings, but also that of Johnny as he looks back on his life and was the inspiration for this book. Jeri challenges you to think about what your symbolic “last meal” would be if given the chance to leave your old way of life behind and choose a new beginning. Peggy Wier, Contributing Editor, Sporting Breed Magazine “The Writer” carefully crafts the story of John Adam Buck, his life and death, as told through the Spirit World. The choice of Johnny’s last meal on earth allows the author to weave three stories. That of Johnny Buck, that of Soul Groups and ultimately, the story of her own spiritual path being interrupted, and reborn. This little book is packed with messages. If you are drawn to the idea of your last meal, or drawn to the discovery of your own Spiritual Journey, this book is for you! Bon voyage. You will Enjoy it! Book excerpt: Originally published in 1963 and authored by the then Editor of the Dancing Times, this was a pioneer work discussing not only the origins and development of many social dance forms from early times, but also relating these forms to their environment. As well as its role in social history, the book analyses the role of dance as a prime creative power in Renaissance spectacles which depicted and celebrated diplomatic, military and regal occasions. After a wide-ranging introductory chapter on the origins of dancing, the book takes the reader through the centuries, discussing in turn the Basse Danse and the Moresco of the Middle Ages, the Pavane, Galliard and Courante of the 16th Century, the Minuet of the 17th & 18th, the Allemande, the Waltz and the Polka as well as Jazz, the Cha Cha Cha, the Jive and Twist.

Here, dances are studied in relation to a definite syllabus, the first Elementary; the second Intermediate, and more difficult of execution. There are also helpful notes on "Angel Walking," and on the varying modes of deportment during the Middle Ages and the 17th and 18th centuries. In addition to detailed instructions for the execution of the steps, there are special exercises for the development of technical ability. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This, the first of four monumental volumes on Oliver Cromwell, covers the period from his birth in 1599 to the trial and execution of Charles I in January 1649. The earlier part of the book traces Cromwell's origins and his upbringing as the son of a Huntingdonshire squire, the emergence of his Puritan faith, and the apprenticeship which, as an opponent of the crown's policies, he served in parliament and in local politics. His rise to national prominence was achieved by his great victories in the civil wars, particularly those at marston Moor and Naseby, and by his leadership of the New Model Army. His conflicts with the Levellers and the army radicals in the period surrounding the Putney debates of 1647 are fully examined. Th final chapter covers his attempts to secure a post-war settlement with the king, and his eventual decision to abandon conciliation and to carry out the regicide--the event which made possible his own assumption of power.
