Book excerpt: Most of my poems are from life, love and mother nature and I write About everything that happens around me and about anything on this earth that comes to my mind and about our inner feelings which most of all have , such as love so pure for our children and our loved ones and I never forget to thank our Great Creator for everything He has given us. As these days most people forget to thank our Creator for all the blessings we have especially these days such as the high technology, The Internet, mobiles, computers and all the home appliances most of us have. This is my first book in poetry which I hope the reader of it will enjoy it as I enjoyed writing each word and sentence.
Book Synopsis Gazing Upon the Face of God by : Steven Stoltzfus
Download or read book Gazing Upon the Face of God written by Steven Stoltzfus and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-03-08 with total page 154 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Gazing upon the face of God is our only source for ultimate Truth. God did not just give us a bunch of rules to follow; He gave us His very nature. All of creation, including mankind, is a direct attribute of God Himself so it only makes sense that in order to understand anything we must look upon His face to determine Truth. The world today is slipping towards a world order that defines Truth by popular demand and a majority of vote. The screaming minorities become the majorities. Without God as the ultimate Truth then there is no source other than the will and laws of man; and who is to say they are wrong or right but the majority. Christianity has become a natural acceptance of belief that is acknowledged, but hardly lived! Reality as the world knows it has conformed completely to the natural laws of the physical senses. The nature of God is hardly recognized as our source of reality. Naturalism has become man’s god and Spiritualism has become simply--the reference of historical events back in bible times. It is time we, as Christians, accept our role as outsiders to this world and take on the Nature of God in ushering in the Kingdom of Heaven upon earth!
Download or read book Seveneves written by Neal Stephenson and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2015-05-19 with total page 419 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Anathem, Reamde, and Cryptonomicon comes an exciting and thought-provoking science fiction epic—a grand story of annihilation and survival spanning five thousand years. What would happen if the world were ending? A catastrophic event renders the earth a ticking time bomb. In a feverish race against the inevitable, nations around the globe band together to devise an ambitious plan to ensure the survival of humanity far beyond our atmosphere, in outer space. But the complexities and unpredictability of human nature coupled with unforeseen challenges and dangers threaten the intrepid pioneers, until only a handful of survivors remain . . . Five thousand years later, their progeny—seven distinct races now three billion strong—embark on yet another audacious journey into the unknown . . . to an alien world utterly transformed by cataclysm and time: Earth. A writer of dazzling genius and imaginative vision, Neal Stephenson combines science, philosophy, technology, psychology, and literature in a magnificent work of speculative fiction that offers a portrait of a future that is both extraordinary and eerily recognizable. As he did in Anathem, Cryptonomicon, the Baroque Cycle, and Reamde, Stephenson explores some of our biggest ideas and perplexing challenges in a breathtaking saga that is daring, engrossing, and altogether brilliant.

I am always between the arms of the divine Fiat, and, oh, how I feel the need of his life, that breathes, beats, circulates in my poor soul! Without him I feel that all dies for me, the light dies, sanctity, strength, even heaven itself, as if it might not belong to me anymore. Instead as I feel his life, all rearises in me. The light re-arises with its beauty that vivifies, purifies and sanctifies. My own Jesus re-arises with all his works. Heaven re-arises which the holy Volition encloses within my soul as within a sanctuary in order to make it all mine. So that if I live in his Will everything is mine and nothing should be missing for me.

Download or read book Design in Nature written by Adrian Bejan and published by Anchor. This book was released on 2013-01-08 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this groundbreaking book, Adrian Bejan takes the recurring patterns in nature—trees, tributaries, air passages, neural networks, and lightning bolts—and reveals how a single principle of physics, the constructal law, accounts for the evolution of these and many other designs in our world. Everything—from biological life to inanimate systems—generates shape and structure and evolves in a sequence of ever-improving designs in order to facilitate flow. River basins, cardiovascular systems, and bolts of lightning are very efficient flow systems to move a current—of water, blood, or electricity. Likewise, the more complex architecture of animals evolve to cover greater distance per unit of useful energy, or increase their flow across the land. Such designs also appear in human organizations, like the hierarchical “flowcharts” or reporting structures in corporations and political bodies. All are governed by the same principle, known as the constructal law, and configure and reconfigure themselves over time to flow more efficiently. Written in an easy style that achieves clarity without sacrificing complexity, Design in Nature is a paradigm-shifting book that will fundamentally transform our understanding of the world around us.

Book Synopsis Exemplarity and Singularity by : Michele Lowrie
Download or read book Exemplarity and Singularity written by Michele Lowrie and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-04-17 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book pursues a strand in the history of thought – ranging from codified statutes to looser social expectations – that uses particulars, more specifically examples, to produce norms. Much intellectual history takes ancient Greece as a point of departure. But the practice of exemplarity is historically rooted firmly in ancient Roman rhetoric, oratory, literature, and law – genres that also secured its transmission. Their pragmatic approach results in a conceptualization of politics, social organization, philosophy, and law that is derived from the concrete. It is commonly supposed that, with the shift from pre-modern to modern ways of thinking – as modern knowledge came to privilege abstraction over exempla, the general over the particular – exemplarity lost its way. This book reveals the limits of this understanding. Tracing the role of exemplarity from Rome through to its influence on the fields of literature, politics, philosophy, psychoanalysis and law, it shows how Roman exemplarity has subsisted, not only as a figure of thought, but also as an alternative way to organize and to transmit knowledge.
