Her home is a treasure chest of memories, travels, artifacts, even a bar that she hauled back from Bangkok! Within What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life? Inspiration for Life, Living, and Happiness, she reveals the riches she received in her adventures that could take her to the Moon, circle it 100 times, then return to Earth. A child of the Silent Generation, her family surrounded her with treasures ... none which money could buy. Her travels, some solo, many with the Four Silver Foxes, even her beloved Model T Ford that she sold during her 8th decade-all have taken her to more places than most would ever dream of venturing to. J C believes if life deals you a lemon ... grab the vodka and call the girls! What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life? is about friendship. About sharing. About caring. And most of all, about the love of life. Of course, her memoir-her book-would be called What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life? She knows what she's planning on doing ... do you?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is it possible for a woman to be empowered and be happy? Inspired to Greatness: A Feminine Approach to Healing the World explores the question from a research perspective, utilizing the method of narrative analysis to examine women’s one-on-one interviews. What makes this book special is the focus on the narrative voice of the women participants, which differentiates it from previous explorations and research. Our participants are among those Western women who are a part of the vanguards who infiltrated the male dominated workforce and advanced toward significant professional empowerment. The findings suggest that a fear-based survival mode is keeping women, who outwardly seem empowered, from an inner feeling of empowerment and thus from happiness. The participants spoke of being called to greater fulfillment in their lives and recognized that conscious active responsibility would be necessary to satisfy those needs, though in many cases it remained unclear whether they would decide to act upon the realization or not. It is of great importance that we pay attention to such women’s interpretation of their experiences. Society needs to attend to the findings we will explore within this book. These results are critical to psychological health and reflect deeply on how to help women find the courage to move forward. Because a healthy society relies on women rising, owning their experience, balancing their priorities, and having access to steps for health, it is clear that women’s emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual health would be improved through access to specific programs that will promote unconditional love, integration, and conscious awareness designed to access the individual’s inner sage and as yet unrealized potentialities. Tracy Cooper is a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in integrative therapy and personal empowerment. At the University of California, Berkeley she was a psychotherapist within the Psychological Services department. Presently, she is a psychotherapist offering comprehensive care to patients with chronic medical conditions and serious mental illness. As a community activist, she is involved with several nonprofit organizations. She is the founder of The Uloma Foundation, she serves as a board member for Arts for All, and manages a mental health program at Interfaith Community Services. Tracy Cooper is an academic and literary author. She contributed to the book What Women Want: A Book for Men and she is the author of the children’s book series Sophie Starchild.

The most common conditions are high blood pressure, arthritis, respiratory diseases, depression, pain, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Its time to be more involved in your health care and start asking why? For instance: Why do Americans have so many health problems when they consume so many drugs? Why are Americans so sick when they can improve their health without doctors, hospitals, and drug therapies? Why is the United States making successful strides in disease treatment but not prevention? These are complicated questions, but its possible that the very drugs Americans consume are contributing to chronic health issues, along with unhealthy choices such as smoking, consuming alcohol, and eating processed and fast foods. By understanding the business of medicine as well as the factors that put you at risk, you can take concrete steps to improve your health or prevent it from deteriorating. Ask the right questions and start learning How to Live a Happy, Healthy, Wealthy, and Safe Life.

Madison and Elizabeths powerful, unrelenting love affair reignited over a span of 44 years. Because of their infidelity, they lived two lives. They survived many tragic events that affected them deeply. Both were affected deeply and emotionally from three deaths, and a case of diagnosed complicated and unresolved grief. As lovers, they take incredible risks that could easily destroy them, their marriages, families, professions and reputations. They are aware of the risks, but their love and commitment to each other is so profound and powerful, they are willing to take the risks and continue playing with fire. The bond between them outweighs and overpowers their rational judgment as lovers and best friends. They are highly educated, respected, and known for their prestigious work on Aurora, the USA and abroad. Yet, they continue to live two lives in secrecy and strategically arrange time to rendezvous with each other while still loving and living with their spouses and children. For years, both suffered many individual and family tragedies, headaches, heartbreaks, and shed many tears. After 43 years of unfaithfulness, both ended up in psychotherapy and family counseling. In family counseling, Madison confessed and shared his story about his love affair with Elizabeth from the beginning with his family present. The reactions from his family and counselor were totally unexpected. The Forces of Destiny continues the compelling, magnetic journey of love and determination of Madison and Elizabeth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Awe. It is about wonder. About accessing the amazing to express reverence, admiration. Awe like this can show up in every aspect of our lives – even those we declare as not so great. When we can look at all aspects of our lives with this kind wonder and admiration, awe changes us. We are broken open by it. It forces us to rethink things. To tweak our behaviors and choices. To move toward things that matter. Psychologist Nicholas Humphrey says awe forces us to reconfigure our mental model so we can make sense of what we’ve seen and experienced. It broadens us, inspires us. Awe then, has the ability to awaken us. It can show us the beauty that already exists and remind us who we are at our spiritual core. It brings us closer to our purpose and passion and helps us create meaning. It helps us to live with the mystery in life, to survive the uncertainty of it all. It allows us to sink into the experience of living. To engage in it. To be touched by it. To participate rather than needing to manipulate, contrive, or control every moment, each experience. When you live in awe of your life you are open to diverse experiences. Some are easy peasy, comfortable and even joyous. Others totally suck. But you are okay because you know that within every experience the possibilities are limitless and experience is multi-dimensional. It is never just one thing. It is always more than bad or good. Polly Campbell designed this book to help you engage with the awesome qualities of your life. Do the exercises if you want – or not. Read this book chapter by chapter or go to the section that will help you most right now. Take what works, discard the rest. You will not be graded on how well you use this book. You won’t be judged. Living an Awesome Life isn’t about following a strict set of rules. It’s about living from your essence and using all that to catapult you into your best life. What that life looks like is up to you. You are the creator of your moments. They are shaped by what you believe, what you notice, how you behave. You get to choose. No matter who you are, what you’ve done, where you’ve been, what you’ve experienced and borne, the very next moment can be awesome. Seriously. Sounds a little woo-woo, I know, but this is totally doable. When you discover the awe in the now, it transforms the next moment and makes it more possible, a bit easier to bear. A bit more awesome. When you string together a whole batch of little awesome moments, you can create a big, fat awesome life. Starting now. From right here

Book excerpt: “You are meant to succeed in the work you love. Your desire will take you all the way.” — Tama J. Kieves What if everything you thought you needed to do to succeed was actually standing in the way of your success? Tama Kieves, Harvard-lawyer-turned-career-coach, has spent the last decade crossing the United States and Canada, speaking to tens of thousands of people and sharing her inspiring story of moving from a career that was killing her to a life that has uplifted her, chronicled in her first book, This Time I Dance!: Creating the Work You Love. She has mentored thousands of people who, with her help, have followed their passion, and now live their dream lives. And now she takes us to the next step in our journey… Within you is your purpose—your destiny—that will lead you to your greatest fulfillment, and your greatest success. What Kieves discovered in her own journey is that the way to success is an inspired path, not a linear one. She brings her mentoring ideas and actions together in her latest work, Inspired and Unstoppable. In this motivating book, Kieves teaches that it is only in unleashing this purpose that you can become truly happy and satisfied. Through these teachings, she will help you move into your “brilliant power.” She shares the mental and emotional impact of this journey—the fears, doubts, and boogeymen that arise—and how to become an unstoppable warrior for your life’s work and desires. This book will help you stay connected to your desires and shift your innermost thinking. When you do, inspired actions will seem to fall directly out of the sky, and onto your plate. You will naturally outpace anything any expert could ever tell you. You don’t need the steps, when you have the moves. Beautifully written, Inspired & Unstoppable also includes success stories from Tama’s life and the lives of others who have made their dreams their reality, as well as practices that will create positive momentum, and “Inspired Successisms”—delightful, quick bites of wisdom peppered throughout the book. It also includes guidelines on how to create your own “Inspired Success Circle”—a way of moving forward with the support of friends and loved ones. Practical, empowering, inspirational, galvanizing—Inspired & Unstoppable is the touchstone to (finally) living your wildest dreams and greatest desires.
