Es wird nach derselben Methodik vorgegangen, indem zuerst die Teile des Jahresabschlusses betrachtet werden. Danach wird die Bilanz und dessen Gliederung nach IFRS und im Anschluss der Eigenkapitalausweis nach den IFRS dargestellt. Das Conclusio schließt die Diplomarbeit ab. *****This master's thesis deals with the different components of the annual financial statement. It shows the structure of a balance sheet and analyses the possibilities and statutory regulations of reporting equity under the regulation of UGB. The various regulations in reporting equity are analysed for the different types of companies. In the second part of the paper the regulations of the International Financial Accounting Standards are shown. Like in the first part of this paper, firstly the annual financial statements under the regulations of IFRS are discussed. Secondly the structure of the balance sheet is shown and finally the regulations in reporting equity under International Financial Accounting Standards are viewed. At the end of the master's thesis there is a closing summary.

Darüber hinaus ist es auch möglich, dass durch Kapitalbeschaffung auf internationalen Kapitalmärkten aus dem Wahlrecht zur Jahresabschlusserstellung eine Pflicht zur Anwendung dieser kommt, ebenso möglich ist eine faktische Anwendungspflicht z.B. durch Rating-Agenturen im Zusammenhang mit Bonitätsprüfungen. „Seit dem Zeitpunkt als Luca Pacioli [...] 1494 als erster die doppelte Buchführung beschrieb, hat das Finanzberichtswesen keine so tief greifende und weit reichende Veränderung erlebt, wie durch die Anforderungen der International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Weltweit unterliegt die Rechnungslegung enormen Veränderungen, so sind international anerkannte Rechnungslegungsgrundsätze u.a. für den Zugang zu internationalen Kapitalmärkten und für die Vergleichbarkeit von Jahresabschlüssen zwingend notwendig. Da die Rechnungslegungsstandards des IASB noch eine Fülle von Schwächen und Unklarheiten beinhalten war u.a. die Darstellung des Eigenkapitals in der internationalen Rechnungslegung bereits in den letzten Jahren wiederholt zentraler Punkt von Diskussionen. Nach Darstellung der Bedeutung und der Elemente eines Jahresabschlusses nach den IFRS wird detailliert auf das Eigenkapital, dessen Eigenschaften sowie die einzelnen Komponenten eingegangen. Darauf folgend wird die Behandlung des Rückkaufs eigener Aktien in der IFRS-Rechnungslegung betrachtet. Kapitel 4 befasst sich ausführlich mit der Untersuchung, unter welchen Bedingungen Finanzinstrumente als Fremdkapital oder als Eigenkapital in einem Jahresabschluss nach den IFRS auszuweisen sind, sowie der Erläuterung mit Beispielen zum Mezzanine-Kapital. Schlossen anfangs nur Konzernunternehmen nach den IFRS ab, so sind zum Zwecke der Offenlegung mittlerweile auch Einzelunternehmen von den Standards erfasst. Die bereits erwähnte Internationalisierung führt des Weiteren zu einem zunehmenden Kapitalbedarf der Unternehmen. Zur Absicherung der Kapitaldienstfähigkeit ist für die Kapitalgeber u.a. der Bilanzposten des Eigenkapitals eine wichtige Auskunftsgröße. Aus Sicht des Unternehmens ist es daher eminent wichtig ein Möglichst ausgewogenes Eigenkapital darzustellen. Die Zielsetzung dieser Arbeit soll es sein, die Besonderheiten der Bilanzierung von Eigenkapital im Einzelabschluss nach den International Financial Reporting Standards herauszuarbeiten. Im Rahmen der Analyse der Besonderheiten sollen dabei eventuelle Unterschiede zum Reporting nach dem Handelsgesetzbuch aufgezeigt werden. Diese Bachelorarbeit gibt eine klare Abgrenzung von Eigen- und Fremdkapital, wodurch die Zuordnung von bestimmten Finanzinstrumenten erleichtert wird. Auch der praktische Nutzen bezieht sich auf die korrekte Darstellung und Bilanzierung der drei Finanzierungsinstrumente, da Unternehmen stets bestrebt sind, eine korrekte Buchführung zu etablieren.
