Face à ces dynamiques territoriales et politiques, on voit les citadins développer des initiatives et se transformer en acteurs de nouvelles formes de citadinité démocratique, souvent rassemblés sous le vocable de " société civile ", s'insérant dans les interstices de la mondialisation. Issu des travaux et réflexions d'un groupe de travail organisé par Annik Osmont et Charles Goldblum au sein du GEMDEV, le présent ouvrage vise, à travers les quatorze contributions présentées, à approfondir ces questions tant dans une perspective générale relative aux pays en développement qu'à travers des approches problématisées à partir des références latino-américaines, africaines et asiatiques. A group of early-career researchers and activists came together to seek out the possibilities of transformative change in everyday life during the peak periods of COVID-19. When researchers and activists were forced to stay at home in isolation, the authors met up online to discuss their subjectivities self-reflexively to challenge the distance between the researcher and “the field.” The book is the outcome of their collective production based on numerous meetings, writing workshops, and creative debates.
