Download or read book Vaulted Home written by Ana Filomena Amaral and published by Strategic Book Publishing Rights Agency. This book was released on 2014-06-11 with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Vaulted Home: Those Who Cheated Death is a novel about creation that is guided by two main parts. The first consideration is that of the history of mankind, from prehistoric to twentieth century, as told by a woman, and representing the home of the world. The second part is the story of the construction of the house of the individual. The seven chapters in which the work is divided are an analogy and reference to the biblical seven days of creation. The main protagonist is a woman, who embodies all the periods in which the narrative is conceived, and interacts with the main male characters according to their role in world history. Then we have the more intimate side of the story, which is the building of mankind's house, the house of being human, with all the philosophical thoughts and feelings. Ana Filomena Amaral is a Portuguese writer born in Avintes, Oporto, and now lives in Lousa. She earned a master's in contemporary economic and social history from the University of Coimbra, and a specialization in documentary sciences. She is an experienced interpreter and translator in several European languages, particularly German. The author works for the Minister of Education in Coimbra. She has already published five novels in Portugal and Vaulted Home is one of them. She has also published historical monographies, including her master's thesis about the Portuguese First Minister Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo. Publisher's website: http: //sbpra.com/AnaFilomenaAmaral

Book Synopsis Firmament: Vaulted Dome of the Earth by : Zen Garcia
Download or read book Firmament: Vaulted Dome of the Earth written by Zen Garcia and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-09-16 with total page 462 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While researching information for the publication of my 9th book The Flat Earth As Key To Decrypt The Book Of Enoch, I was led to understanding that not only does the Bible support premise that the earth is a flat circular plane but that it is covered by the firmament as a solid transparent dome like canopy. This led me to revisit the canonical and extra Biblical texts such as The Book Of Enoch, The Book Of Jasher, The Book Of Jubilees, and myriad others, to see if not only did they affirm such idea but if they contained other little known insight which might expound upon this matter in some detailed manner. This book is the end result of that search and compilation of all of those source references. And because I include in this study much extra Biblical material which few are familiar with, I doubt one will be able to find a more complete investigation of the firmament as topic than that which is presented here. The seeker of lost paradise may seem a fool to those whom have never sought the other worlds
Book Synopsis South Lancashire by : Nikolaus Pevsner
Download or read book South Lancashire written by Nikolaus Pevsner and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 1969-03-11 with total page 560 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The great industrial cities of Manchester and Liverpool dominate the southern band of Lancashire. Manchester's buildings range from its little-known medieval cathedral, housing some of the finest medieval wood carving in England, to imposing factories and civic and commercial monuments, among which Waterhouse's great Gothic Town Hall is the supreme example. Liverpool's two famous twentieth-century cathedrals watch over a no less proud city, whose distinctive mixture of toughness and display appear variously at the early Victorian Albert Dock, its sumptuous contemporary St George's Hall, and the great commercial parade alongside the Mersey. Towns such as Bury and Rochdale, showing the same civic endeavour on a smaller scale, stud a landscape that rises into dramatic moorland country to the east.
