Book excerpt: Throughout the years, after leaving Christianity to embrace Judaism, I have come across the following question, asked by friends and even strangers, ""You don't believe in Jesus anymore?"" That question led me to write this book, to explain why I left Christianity and embraced Judaism, directing my prayers only to the Eternal G-d of Israel. It took me over 10 years of research, debate and confrontation to finally finalize this work. I want to make clear that I have no intention of converting anyone; the purpose of this book is to help those who are seeking clarification.

Download or read book Unveiling Grace written by Lynn K. Wilder and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2013-08-20 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A gripping story of how an entire family, deeply enmeshed in Mormonism for thirty years, found their way out and found faith in Jesus Christ. For thirty years, Lynn Wilder, once a tenured faculty member at Brigham Young University, and her family lived in, loved, and promoted the Mormon Church. Then their son Micah, serving his Mormon mission in Florida, had a revelation: God knew him personally. God loved him. And the Mormon Church did not offer the true gospel. Micah's conversion to Christ put the family in a tailspin. They wondered, Have we believed the wrong thing for decades? If we leave Mormonism, what does this mean for our safety, jobs, and relationships? Is Christianity all that different from Mormonism anyway? As Lynn tells her story of abandoning the deception of Mormonism to receive God's grace, she gives a rare look into Mormon culture, what it means to grow up Mormon, and why the contrasts between Mormonism and Christianity make all the difference in the world. Whether you are in the Mormon Church, are curious about Mormonism, or simply are looking for a gripping story, Unveiling Grace will strengthen your faith in the true God who loves you no matter what.
Book Synopsis The Ultimate Intention by : DeVern F. Fromke
Download or read book The Ultimate Intention written by DeVern F. Fromke and published by Pickle Partners Publishing. This book was released on 2016-10-21 with total page 358 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Scores of pastors and leaders testify: “THIS CHANGED MY LIFE AND MINISTRY.” The author considers these critical questions: In the beginning, before God created Adam (mankind), what was His original purpose and plan for him? What could have happened in the Garden of Eden if Adam had not sinned and God’s redemptive plan had not become necessary? We know that when God created Adam he received natural life, but how did God plan for Adam to receive Divine (uncreated life)? What is the difference between God’s creating and begetting work? It is evident that God has given the Cross a central place in His redemptive working; what is the difference between the work of the Cross and the way of the Cross? Since God, in the fullness of time, will put on display His Divine masterpiece before all the universe, how can we fully cooperate with him if we do not understand His Ultimate Intention?
Download or read book Leaving Mormonism written by Corey Miller and published by Kregel Academic. This book was released on 2017-11-28 with total page 551 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The growing popular perception today is that the Mormon church as just another denomination within Christianity, and representatives of the LDS church often encourage this perspective. Despite points of agreement, major differences exist on foundational theological matters (for example, the Trinity), as well as social and moral issues (such as racial equality). As former Mormons turned evangelical Christians, each of whom is an accomplished scholar, the four contributors to this volume provide a unique and authoritative corrective. Each contributor shares his or her story of growing up in the Mormon church, and how biblical, theological, moral, or scientific issues forced them to eventually leave Mormonism. The contributors draw on the expertise of their respective academic fields to show how Mormon teachings and practice fall short biblically and rationally. They also address common objections raised by former Mormons who have lost faith altogether and have embraced atheism or agnosticism--especially under the influence of "new atheists" like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens.

Book Synopsis Why Did I Leave Christianity? I Followed Jesus and He Led Me Out by : Donald Werner
Download or read book Why Did I Leave Christianity? I Followed Jesus and He Led Me Out written by Donald Werner and published by . This book was released on 2021-01-05 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are "true Christians" saved? Let me ask; is a "true Christian" one that complies with all Christian Church Doctrine, or is a true Christian one that adheres to all of the teachings of Jesus Christ? What's the difference you ask? The Church doctrines are not rooted and grounded in Jesus' teachings, but rather Paul's teachings. I know a lot of Christians who comply with Church doctrine, but I know none who adhere to all of Jesus' teachings, or even try. And, yes, there are some major differences between Jesus' teachings and Christian Church doctrines and the differences are not trivial, they are affecting salvation issues. How has this happened? In the same manner that Adam and Eve were deceived by the serpent beast in the Garden of Eden, as we read in the Book of the Revelation, the serpent beast had deceived the whole world, and all the world follows after the serpent beast. The deception going on in today's Christian Church has tremendous parallels to what happened in the Garden of Eden, with an amazingly similar deceptive message with amazingly similar results. I will share all the details of that deception in this book, and the truth that will set us free from that deception
Book Synopsis Christianity is a Cult by : Adam Lee
Download or read book Christianity is a Cult written by Adam Lee and published by . This book was released on 2022-05-22 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These days most Americans still identify as Christians. It is the majority here in the United States of America where our coins still say, "In God We Trust." But there is a trend going on where more and more people are not attending church or identifying as religious anymore. More and more people are deconstructing their faith. And many are realizing that they were in a cult, the cult of Christianity! I grew up as a Christian and in my early 20s had a born-again experience and dived headfirst into Evangelical Christianity. Not just a normal dive but I was going for the gold and dived off the high dive into the deep end. I later got a degree in Biblical studies and became a minister. I would like to tell you it was everything I thought it would be but that would be a lie. It was nothing it was supposed to be. Christianity is one big delusion, and nothing is what they say it is. I went into it looking for love, acceptance, and a family and found only disappointment. The one good thing that came out of it was an awakened spirituality and a relationship with God, but it will take many years to purge myself from all the negative things that accompanied that. What I have come to realize now is that I was in a cult, Christianity is one big cult and it often does more harm than good. And no I am not saying just the church I was in was a cult because I was in many. The whole religion with all its churches and branches is actually one big massive cult.

Book Synopsis Christian Faith Unveiled in the Epistle of James by : Raymond J. Zeman
Download or read book Christian Faith Unveiled in the Epistle of James written by Raymond J. Zeman and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-01-31 with total page 115 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A study of the book of James will unveil some of the most practical Christian faith topics found in the New Testament. Truths are revealed in James concerning faith in action: overcoming adversities, personal spiritual growth, sensitivity in personal relationships, serving those around us, using wisdom to control ones tongue, and using wealth in Gods service. The book was written by James, identified as the brother of Jesus Christ in Mark 6:3, to the twelve tribes of Israel which were scattered throughout the Roman Empire. Because these early believers did not have the support of established Christian churches, James wrote to them as a concerned leader and servant of God to encourage them in their faith during difficult times as they waited for the next coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Book Synopsis Love Over Religion by : Danica Allen
Download or read book Love Over Religion written by Danica Allen and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-09-18 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Love over Religion is a brave and heartfelt reply to the question, "Why did you leave Christianity?" After years as an active churchgoer, Danica Allen made the difficult choice to leave the faith. No single moment led to her decision. Instead, she found herself gradually realizing that her personal beliefs and morality were at odds with Christianity's foundation. Beginning with her discomfort with a God who actively encourages acts of abuse, slavery, and discrimination, Allen tackles Christianity's most significant sociopolitical issues and negative attitudes toward other faiths and the marginalized. She does so not with anger or intellectual pontification, but with gentleness, humor, and compassion. A must-read for all those struggling to explain why they cannot accept Christianity, Love over Religion also invites Christians to examine the often-contradictory teachings of the church. Allen does not condemn the followers of any faith. Instead, she offers a chance to bridge the divide between atheists and Christians. Love over Religion provides food for a civil conversation on the relative merits of faith and nonbelief. Are you ready for that discussion?
