A game evolves around this phenomenon of certainty & uncertainty which brings taste in our life. Everyone's life is made up of both good and bad moments. Good things give encouragement while bad incidents give experience, a mixture of which fuels the journey of our life. Friendship, Love, Success, Failure, Betrayal, Jealousy are the co-passengers in this journey, which come from different phases of our life & affect our journey with their perceptions. At the dawn of our life, when we look back into it, we find it as a book of such experiences. If we can imagine then we will find that we go through different types of books as different persons, in our day to day life. Walking through various paths of life, everyone has a bunch of stories in his or her life. Among those, some stories are shared & some secret stories are best kept hidden. Though we never speak of such kind of stories they still find a special place in our memory as they teach us an important lesson on that period of our life. We keep that part of our life untouched from all. But some time our mind wanders to those untouched ways of life.

Book excerpt: Nearly 16% of India’s population – or over 100 million people – are untouchables. Most of them, despite decades of government efforts to improve their economic and social position, remain desperately poor, illiterate, subject to brutal discrimination and economic exploitation, and with no prospect for improvement of their condition. This is the autobiography, first published in 1979, of Muli, a 40-year-old untouchable of the Bauri caste, living in the Indian state of Orissa, as told to an American anthropologist. Muli is a narrator who combines rich descriptions of daily life with perceptive observations of his social surroundings. He describes with absorbing detail what it is like to be at the bottom of Indian life, and what happens when an untouchable attempts to break out of his accepted role.

Book excerpt: Words of Caution for Those Who Think They're Beyond Temptation Too many Christians, especially those in ministry, believe they are untouchable--that they're too faithful to fall or too spiritual to give in to temptation. They deny any sort of weakness, fail to draw proper boundaries, and end up doing the very things they swore they'd never do. Pastor and author Brittany Rust was one such person--until she found herself in the middle of moral failure and a church-wide scandal. Bewildered, humiliated, and ashamed, she thought she was beyond redemption. But God's grace met her on the ground, and here she shares what she's learned through her painful journey. She unravels the myth of being untouchable, showing how we start to believe the lie, and how we can protect ourselves from temptation. Ultimately she shows that to truly flourish in life, you must be willing to admit weakness--and that no one is beyond God's redeeming love.

Book excerpt: From Dickens and Dostoyevsky through to Capote and Norman Mailer, great authors have wrestled with the criminal mind; and now Jacob Miller, one of the best new authors in America, puts his pen to this task in a work that is both riveting and engrossing. Can anything get through to the criminal sociopath, or is he truly untouchable? Follow the life of Frankie Moreno from his earliest encounters with death in La Perla, Old San Juan in the late 1940s, to his childhood experiences as a victim in El Barrio, East Harlem, New York, to his own early criminal activities, his gradual rising through the ranks and his eventual arrival as the leader of the Untouchables, one of the most feared Latino street gangs in Harlem. From that point the story follows Frankie as he manipulates a position for himself as an associate of the Pleasant Street Mob, under the leadership of the Godfather of one of the Five Families, Thomas Lucchese, then follows Frankies increasing activities with the Mafia as a major drug dealer intimately involved with the French Connection, to the Pizza Connection and finally, to the Columbian Connection. Finally the story shows Frankie breaking out and starting his own family by reviving the Untouchables but now structuring his operation after the Mafia. Along the way, Frankie serves hard time in maximum security prisons, commits gruesome murders and runs every racket under the sun. It is only after his own narcotics addiction brings him down that Miller leads us to Frankies compelling conclusionhow after Frankies multiple failed attempts to conquer his addiction, finally, late in life, he becomes a Jehovahs Witness, ultimately conquering his addiction to drugs and shedding blood. This remarkable and tensely exciting tale of unspeakable horror will leave the reader as unnerved and invigorated as the Godfather movies and Carlitos Way.

With these questions, Pastor Chris Harrison begins a journey that takes the reader from living in fear and condemnation, constantly harassed by Satan, to a place of love, acceptance, and confidence in the grace of God. Follow along as Pastor Harrison presents biblical proof that believers arent supposed to battle the devil but are called by God to live securely in grace, shielded and untouchable.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While many studies suggest that Indian Untouchables do not entirely share the hierarchical values characteristic of the caste system, Michael Moffatt argues that the most striking feature of the lowest castes is their pervasive cultural consensus with those higher in the system. Though rural Untouchables question their particular position in the system, they seldom question the system as a whole, and they maintain among themselves a set of hierarchical conceptions and institutions virtually identical to those of the dominant social order. Based on fourteen months of fieldwork with Untouchable castes in two villages in Tamil Nadu, south India, Professor Moffatt's analysis specifies ways in which the Untouchables are both excluded and included by the higher castes. Ethnographically, he pursues his structural analysis in two related domains: Untouchable social structure, and Untouchable religious belief and practice. The author finds that in those aspects of their lives where Untouchables are excluded from larger village life, they replicate in their own community nearly every institution, role, and ranked relation from which they have been excluded. Where the Untouchables are included by the higher castes, they complete the hierarchical whole by accepting their low position and playing their assigned roles. Thus the most oppressed members of Indian society are often among the truest believers in the system. Originally published in 1979.
