Kimberly reviews other legal cases as well as poetry she has written throughout the years. She describes how some of her poems sound eerily similar to a few musician's songs. The next part of this book includes a previously published book titled, Fallen from Grace. She wrote about some major events she endured. She was a flight attendant based in New York and witnessed the devastating tragedy of 9-11. This horrific event influenced her decision to attend college and major in history. After obtaining a B.A. degree, she worked in the sales industry until the economic recession of 2008. She describes the impact the recession had on the economy and how she confronted adversity when she went back to college to earn an advanced degree. Undue stress led to a debilitating illness where she had to take an extended medical leave from work. Many doctors could not find the cause of her illness as many tests revealed nothing wrong. Eventually, Kimberly began researching her own symptoms online and found the right specialists for treatment. She attended physical therapy in effort to recover but recovery seemed impossible. She learned to become her own self-advocate and managed the illness. After several months, she fully recovered. When Kimberly got better, she attended a different university where she earned a master's degree. Also, she published this book she began writing many years ago. Through extensive research, she provides information about the illness she contracted and what she personally did to get better. She hopes this book will encourage discussions about sensitive topics so that we may learn from each other and make positive changes.
