Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Patient-centered medicine is not an illness-centered, a physician-centered, or a hospital-centered medicine approach. In this book, it is aimed at presenting an approach to patient-centered medicine from the beginning of life to the end of life. As indicated by W. Osler, "It is much more important to know what sort of a patient has a disease than what sort of a disease a patient has." In our day, if the physicians and healthcare professionals could consider more than the diseased organ and provide healthcare by comforting the patients by respecting their values, beliefs, needs, and preferences; informing them and their relatives at every stage; and comforting the patients physically by controlling the pain and relieving their worries and fears, patients obeying the rules of physicians would become patients with high adaptation and participation to the treatment.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does it mean to become a sound mind in a healthy body and harmonious environment? This engaging introduction to the new field of philosophical health, written by its forerunner, presents the core tenets of the discipline. It explains in clear and elegant prose how a reflexive practice of sense-making can create a eudynamic balance between six existential senses: body, self, belonging, possibility, purpose, and the philosophical sense. Luis de Miranda, inspired by nearly a decade of practice as a philosophical counsellor – with individuals, groups, institutions, NGO's and corporations – offers a pragmatic open system that is supported with evidence from psychological science, various philosophical traditions or contemporary theories, as well as fascinating real stories from world wisdom. Meaning in action is clearly the new way ahead for philosophy, rediscovered here as the responsible and practical big sister – if not queen – of all disciplines and ways of life. The international philosophical health movement is the long-awaited response, globally and locally, to the overall confusion the world fell into due to mindless processes and unexamined behaviour. This book shows us how, in a spirit of compossibility and oneness in diversity we now can, at last, intercreate a harmonious, rich, and diverse planetary civilisation.

Book excerpt: Exploring the Living Universe and Intelligent Powers in Nature and Humans, author Edi Bilimoria heralds the new science of consciousness and offers the readers a roadmap and necessary tools to achieve future growth. Presented in three volumes, plus volume IV contains references, resources & further reading, they reveal the unity of the Eastern and Western branches of our perineal wisdom. Bilimoria shows how science seeks truth using a synthesis of both traditions. Evidence from a wide range of sources— scientific, medical, philosophical, religious, and cultural— is put forward to argue the case that humans are spiritual beings, primarily, and not merely complicated biological machines. Bilimoria teaches that consciousness is not the product of matter but the primary &‘ element' from which all else emanates. This process and its underlying mechanisms are described in detail with much clarity. This work has over 2000 references and is supported by copious tables and diagrams, plus individual chapter summaries and sidenotes to assist readers in navigating the multidimensional terrain traversed.Key areas - The scientific and esoteric worldviews compared and contrasted - The ultimate promise of science - The &‘ soft' and &‘ hard' problems of consciousness: How external input to the physical senses results in an internal, subjective experience - Quantum physics: its contribution to a new scientific paradigm - The Mystery Teachings of All Ages: their worldwide unity and central message - &‘ Wet computers' and computers: Is the brain no different, in principle, from a computer? - Death and after: the transition and continuity of consciousness in other realms - Paranormal phenomena and apparitions - Subtle bodies - Evolution and destiny - Powers latent in human beings - Divinity and the united message of all world religions - The question of immortality - The primacy of consciousness and the manner of its unfoldment from the unmanifest realms to the physical world Edi Bilimoria' s guest appearance on the Shepheard-Walwyn podcast series can be found on this link. https://shepheardwalwyn.com/edi-bilimoria-unfolding-consciousness-why-sapolsky-is-wrong-and-how-to-get-in-tune-with-life/

Infinity is also important in Fractals which are a graphical algorithm which is used in many computer graphics applications today and which has infinite depth. It is also applicable to our Universe since the standard concept we are taught about the Big Bang as the beginning of the Universe may be wrong. Modern evidence is showing us contradictions which say that we live in a Universe which is steady state and might even be infinite in size. The Universe doesn’t have a creation date we can be sure of. We don’t really know if it is infinite in size but the Universe is certainly much larger and older than our best scientific instruments can measure. This book is an exploration of Infinity and new understandings of our Universe which have come to light in recent decades.

Book excerpt: I’ve written a number of books about legendary beings such as Bigfoot, Dragons, Thunderbirds, Sea Monsters, Giants, and more. I also wrote a book titled “The Mythical People of Ireland” which covered the Tuatha Da Danann, Druids, and Leprechaun elves. The information I found for that book caused me to become more curious about the little people generally. There are legends of the Little People all over the world. Even more interesting is that a race of very small people who were close to three feet tall were uncovered recently in Indonesia. This race is called the Flores Man and was of a similar size to the beings in many of the legends of the little people. This find is amazing because none of the other legendary beings have confirmed evidence of those little people in archeological sites. These findings add a lot of credibility to those old legends. In this book we cover these little beings from different areas of the world. This includes where they came from, stories about them possibly coming from different dimensions, and stories about sightings of them. Hope you enjoy this adventure into what seems like it might be a real race of intelligent legends.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The thesis of this book is that there was a civilization of intelligent beings existing on Earth over 300 million years ago. I previously collected information to write two books on out of place artifacts (OOPAs) and a book on Giants which evidence shows lived on this Earth millions of years ago. While writing my book titled “The History of Intelligent Life On Earth from Millions of Years Ago Till Present” and generating a timeline on ancient OOPAs found around the Earth, I found an interesting pattern. It turns out that a large number of these objects were from around 300 million years ago mostly in coal mines and seams. All of these objects from the same time period provide good circumstantial evidence that a worldwide civilization existed at that time. Given the millions of years which have elapsed since then we are lucky to find even the few OOPAs we have records of which were preserved in coal and rock. In this book I put together the evidence and do my best to answer questions like: What did the world look like then? What were the attributes and culture of this society? What types of beings were part of this civilization? And other relevant questions. It may be hard to believe that intelligent life existed back then but we need to be objective to follow where the evidence takes us.

Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) philosopher, scientist and educator introduced a Natural Science post-modern understanding a physical-spiritual: Seeing Eye and connecting mind's I delicate empiricism: spiritual-physical (non-sensory) mode-underpinning and enhancing the theory of evolution. For historic accuracy we trace Rudolf Steiner's 'quest' to bring both these modes together-modern natural scientific materialism (the dragon) and philosophical spiritual scientific knowledge-that lights our path and enables a threefold exploration of our spiritual-physical evolutionary development (Spiritual: invisible - Physical: visible). The 'body - soul' divide: (body: physical sensory mode - soul: spiritual non-sensory mode). Natural Science: Nature and Super-Nature: The use of the term super-natural is very different from the way the word 'supernatural' is commonly used and understood, (fantasy, black magic). Super-natural here equates to Nature and Natural Science: super-natural phenomena are only natural phenomena presenting at a higher or super -though- still natural level. Evolution: Goethe's Naturphilosophie was a metamorphosis of 'Nature philosophy'. In this same way Steiner's Spiritual Science, a higher form of Naturphilosophie, conceived a purely active spiritual element a Meta transmutation had taken place: Naturmetaphilosophie.

Book excerpt: Modern information communication technology eradicates barriers of geographic distances, making the world globally interdependent, but this spatial globalization has not eliminated cultural fragmentation. The Two Cultures of C.P. Snow (that of science–technology and that of humanities) are drifting apart even faster than before, and they themselves crumble into increasingly specialized domains. Disintegrated knowledge has become subservient to the competition in technological and economic race leading in the direction chosen not by the reason, intellect, and shared value-based judgement, but rather by the whims of autocratic leaders or fashion controlled by marketers for the purposes of political or economic dominance. If we want to restore the authority of our best available knowledge and democratic values in guiding humanity, first we have to reintegrate scattered domains of human knowledge and values and offer an evolving and diverse vision of common reality unified by sound methodology. This collection of articles responds to the call from the journal Philosophies to build a new, networked world of knowledge with domain specialists from different disciplines interacting and connecting with other knowledge-and-values-producing and knowledge-and-values-consuming communities in an inclusive, extended, contemporary natural–philosophic manner. In this process of synthesis, scientific and philosophical investigations enrich each other—with sciences informing philosophies about the best current knowledge of the world, both natural and human-made—while philosophies scrutinize the ontological, epistemological, and methodological foundations of sciences, providing scientists with questions and conceptual analyses. This is all directed at extending and deepening our existing comprehension of the world, including ourselves, both as humans and as societies, and humankind.
