Book Synopsis Suicide Warfare by : Rosemarie Skaine
Download or read book Suicide Warfare written by Rosemarie Skaine and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2013-01-09 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides up-to-date coverage of the policies, strategies, and effects of suicide in war, examining this subject from societal and military perspectives to shed light on the justifications for using human beings as expendable weapons. Suicide warfare has expanded over the years and become a global phenomenon. In some parts of the world, it has become rooted in the fabric of society. Westerners often find it difficult to grasp why someone would be willing to sacrifice their life in order to take the lives of others. Suicide Warfare: Culture, the Military, and the Individual as a Weapon provides a thorough examination of the topic that enables readers to understand the justification for suicide warfare and better appreciate how the ideology of the individuals and organizations that resort to suicide warfare greatly complicates security issues in the 21st century. The book covers the policies, strategies, and effects of suicide in war, examining suicide warfare in its entirety from a theoretical standpoint, and then applying those theories to the actual manifestations of and politico-military responses to suicide warfare. The author discusses specific organizations such as Al Qaeda and the Chechen rebels, analyzing each within its societal context, military justification, individual motivation, and outcomes, and addresses principles of sociological and conflict theory to place suicide warfare in a clearer conceptual framework. The book presents case studies that allow readers to better understand abstract theories and make distinctions between individual cases of suicide warfare.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From hallucinogenic mushrooms and LSD, to coca and cocaine; from Homeric warriors and the Assassins to the first Gulf War and today's global insurgents - drugs have sustained warriors in the field and have been used as weapons of warfare, either as non-lethal psychochemical weapons or as a means of subversion. /Lukasz Kamie'nski explores why and how drugs have been issued to soldiers to increase their battlefield performance, boost their courage and alleviate stress and fear - as well as for medical purposes. He also delves into the history of psychoactive substances that combatants 'self-prescribe', a practice which dates as far back as the Vikings. Shooting Up is a comprehensive and original history of the relationship between fighting men and intoxicants, from Antiquity till the present day, and looks at how drugs will determine the wars of the future in unforeseen and remarkable ways.
Book Synopsis Us-Christians-For-Wars by : V.C. Thomas
Download or read book Us-Christians-For-Wars written by V.C. Thomas and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2013-08-26 with total page 405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a compilation of articles found on the Internet which looks at who is mainly responsible for terrorism, death, destruction and genocide around the world today. Based on the numbers killed in Asia & the Middle East, the United States of America is responsible for terrorism and genocide on a colossal scale. Ground war with modern weapons and aerial bombing (4 years in Korea, 10 years in Vietnam, & 10 years each in Iraq & Afghanistan) is terrorism resulting in the deaths of millions. In wars before WWI the combatants could see who they were killing. US aerial bombing since WWII involves no risks to the US military while terrorizing & killing innocent civilians and destroying cities. The suicide bombing by a few Muslims youths get a lot of publicity in the US, so this document concentrates on the atrocities of Jews and "so-called" Evangelical Christian Right in the US. Jews, Christians and Muslims believe in the same God described in the Old Testament Bible (OTB) by God himself (the Bible is the Word of God) as a petty, retarded, vindictive genocidal maniac. Israel was created in 1948 by Eastern European Jews (converts to Judaism 1,000 years ago with no Semitic, genetic or ancestral connection to Palestine) because of the Holocaust in Europe. It was created by eradicating Palestinians from their ancestral homeland by armed robbery & genocide. Palestinians had nothing to do with the Holocaust. The most zealous supporters of US wars since WWII (particularly on behalf of Israel created in 1948) are the Right Wing Evangelical Fundamentalist Conservative Christians (RWEFCC). In the 1950s and 1960s the evil enemy (Satan & Anti-Christ) was communism. When communism disappeared, the RWEFCC switched to condemning, hating & attacking the evil Muslims. RWEFCC people believe that once Palestine & Palestinians have been eradicated and replaced with God's new only chosen people of Eastern European origin, Armageddon, the end of the world, and the Second Coming of Christ are imminent. They ignore the spiritual message of Christ. The moral and ethical justification by Zionists Christians for creating Israel by armed robbery and mass murder in 1948 is the Old Testament Bible (OTB) and Revelations in the New Testament Bible (NTB). It is supposed to be fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. The Old Testament Bible (OTB) is historical mythology, and teaches hatred, cruelty, murder, genocide, sexism, homophobia & racism. Revelations is ridiculous science & horror fiction by primitive & ignorant people of ancient times. It is nearly impossible for a politician to get elected to office in the US Bible-Belt today without the support of Zionist Christians and if they do not affirm that they also worship "Jews" as God's only chosen people and Israel as a country created by God.

Book excerpt: This thoroughly researched & dramatic account is an Arab's viewpoint of how the West was maneuvered into fueling Saddam's & Iraq's rise to power in the Middle East. It casts new light on key events that have not been fully explored by the media, & reveals intelligence documents that show how the U.S. was caught unprepared for war despite clear warning signals from the CIA & the international intelligence community. This book is an insider's history of the roots of Saddam Hussein's war, & a maddening indictment of our complicity in it. Maps & photos.
