Download or read book Kant and the Future of the European Enlightenment written by Heiner Klemme and published by Walter de Gruyter. This book was released on 2009 with total page 565 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Glaube - Wahrheit - Toleranz by : Joseph Ratzinger
Download or read book Glaube - Wahrheit - Toleranz written by Joseph Ratzinger and published by Verlag Herder. This book was released on 2017-01-11 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. (Joseph Ratzinger)
Book Synopsis Philosophy of Globalization by : Concha Roldán
Download or read book Philosophy of Globalization written by Concha Roldán and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2018-06-11 with total page 659 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Not so long ago, it seemed the intellectual positions on globalization were clear, with advocates and opponents making their respective cases in decidedly contrasting terms. Recently, however, the fronts have shifted dramatically. The aim of this publication is to contribute philosophical depth to the debates on globalization conducted within various academic fields – principally by working out its normative dimensions. The interdisciplinary nature of this book’s contributors also serves to scientifically ground the ethical-philosophical discourse on global responsibility. Though by no means exhaustive, the expansive scope of the works herein encompasses such other topics as the altering consciousness of space and time, and the phenomenon of globalization as a discourse, as an ideology and as a symbolic form.

Book Synopsis Theology in Intercultural Design / Theologie im Zeichen der Interkulturalität by :
Download or read book Theology in Intercultural Design / Theologie im Zeichen der Interkulturalität written by and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2010-01-01 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among the consequences of the all engulfing process of globalisation is the experience that not only it promotes interdependence among peoples, folks, cultures and religions, but it also creates problems and tensions. The assignment of a thoughtful and practice-oriented accompanying of this development poses itself subsequently. From this background different lectures are being conducted in different places; research initiatives as well as projects are started and executed while several publications are featuring. Visible here is the fact that although there abound rich reservoirs of knowledge, there is still no clarity as to the contents and the theoretical and methodical contrasts that are yet to be examined.
Book Synopsis Joseph Ratzinger in Dialogue with Philosophical Traditions by : Tracey Rowland
Download or read book Joseph Ratzinger in Dialogue with Philosophical Traditions written by Tracey Rowland and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2024-01-25 with total page 629 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book extensively explores the various influences and connections between Joseph Ratzinger and a number of leading philosophers; engaging with his work by means of Spanish, Portuguese, German, and English schools of thought through the contributions of a global body of scholars. Each chapter in this volume examines precisely how Ratzinger has dealt with the ideas of a particular philosopher, and how he has appropriated their ideas and thoughts. Moving from philosophers he has modified or critiqued such as Kant, Comte or Wittgenstein to those who have contributed to his philosophical theology, such as Guardini and Pieper, this truly international endeavour is an extraordinary journey into Ratzinger's engagement with his competing and congenial schools of thought.
Book Synopsis ›Katholische Aufklärung‹? – Möglichkeiten, Grenzen und Kritik eines Konzepts der Aufklärungsforschung by : Martin Mulsow

This book was released on 2022-04-14 with total page 371 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Key Theological Thinkers by : Svein Rise
Download or read book Key Theological Thinkers written by Svein Rise and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-22 with total page 801 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 20th and 21st Centuries have been characterized by theologians and philosophers rethinking theology and revitalizing the tradition. This unique anthology presents contributions from leading contemporary theologians - including Rowan Williams, Fergus Kerr, Aidan Nichols, G.R. Evans and Tracey Rowland - who offer portraits of over fifty key theological thinkers in the modern and postmodern era. Distinguished by its broad ecumenical perspective, this anthology spans arguably one of the most creative periods in the history of Christian theology and includes thinkers from all three Christian traditions: Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox. Each individual portrait in this anthology includes a biographical introduction, an overview of theological or philosophical writing, presentation of key thoughts, and contextual placing of the thinker within 20th Century religious discourse. Overview articles explore postmodern theology, radical orthodoxy, ecumenical theology, feminist theology, and liberation theology. A final section includes portraits of important thinkers who have influenced Christian thought from other fields, not least from Continental philosophy and literature.
